Sponsored: Our American Kitchen – A Series By GE Appliances
Some of my fondest memories with my mother are in the kitchen when we were cooking together. These memories are at various stages of my life, ranging from the age of a child to a mother with a big family. Cooking together not only resulted in amazing dishes (and some not so great – ha ha), but in memories that would last a lifetime. I try to create special memories making delicious dishes in the kitchen with our children as well.
GE Appliances has launched a new program featuring “Our American Kitchen,” which explores the progression and diversity of the American culture through the kitchen and the role it plays in our social and family structure. GE Appliances is a company that has been part of the American home since 1905, but they don’t make products for the American market. They make products for the American people, for individuals, for families, and they understand that every family is different, unique, with unique needs and unique history and culture. Because what makes us American people, our diverse rich culture(s).
GE Appliances is renowned for their top-quality kitchen tools, like fridges, microwaves and dishwashers) and sees how important family and family time are. Through a series of webisodes, GE Appliances taps into the lives of 6 real-life American families, touching upon the notions of “home” and “family” – which have always been hugely important in American culture.
I love it when brands focus on the importance of family and family time, especially when it involves creating things in the kitchen. What was the last memory you made with your family in the kitchen?
This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine.
I need some new appliances BADLY! Especially a new range with attached microwave. Our Microwave is broken.
GE appliances are really great. My mother has a GE stove that she’s had for about 20 years. That thing just keeps going and going.
My kids love to cook with me, and we’ve had our fair share of delicious nom noms and disasters. It’s always a good time, though.
One of my grandsons loves to cook with me. I’m always looking for recipes that I think he will like to make.
I too love it when brands really care and patronize campaigns that showcase where home values are built. And I agree, most of this happens in the kitchen/dining areas, where families tend to dwell together! Thanks for sharing this wonderful campaign!
I totally agree with you, my fondest memories with my mom was in the kitchen too! Especially on holidays, there was tons of baking. 😀
It’s amazing how many good memories were formed in the kitchen with the family. I’m glad GE is so in touch with this notion.
I used to cook with my grandmother all the time. I have very fond memories of cooking with her. I don’t like my girls to cook with me b/c they are so messy ☺
I also love it when brands care about and prioritize the right things. I desperately need some new appliances and I’ll definitely consider these ones!
We are in the planning stages of redoing our kitchen. I am thinking I want an Ikea kitchen. It’s really exciting planning something like that out.
I don’t know what I would do without my GE appliances. They have been a part of so much of the best moments in our home…cooking, baking, entertaining, etc.
I could really use a new toaster oven. I am gonna have to look into these.
Some day, when I am no longer renting, I can’t wait to decide my appliances and pick what I want. No concern about a landlord or anything like that! My kitchen will be amazing and I will love it. XD at least, I sure as heck hope so!
I have GE appliances and love them. When i need to replace them i will definitely be getting GE again.

A lovely kitchen doesn’t fail to encourage homeowners to prepare delectable dishes. Our kitchen at home needs to have some items fixed & renovated; we’re planning to get a new fridge so this post is timely. We’ve owned GE stuff for years and it’s still our preferred brand when it comes to kitchen stuff.
I love GE appliances! Our last memory was making homemade pizzas together. The kids love to do that, no matter their age. 🙂
I love GE, they have some of the best appliances around. I need to get a few new ones myself.
My mom and dad had GE appliances in our house when I was little. I know they lasted a really long time. I would love to have a kitchen makeover and include all new GE products!
The last memory that we made in the kitchen was actually just last night. I made a frittata and my 12-year-old son helped me. 🙂
GE makes amazing appliances. I swear by them. Well made and stylish. Great combo!
I am in need of new appliances for my kitchen. My microwave is over 15 years old and is almost dead.
I love how our appliances are coming along! So much more advanced now with great features.
We’ve been talking about a new refrigerator for a little while now… Ill have to make sure that we look into GE!
GE always makes the best, reliable products! It looks like you and your daughter had a great time making cookies. Just yesterday, I made home made ice cream with my children. 🙂
Our kids love helping us cook, we make meal time a big priority, especially since now that they are getting into sports and band, it will be harder and harder to make it work.
