Every year, I have thrown and participated in a Holiday Cookie Exchange. As a Wilton Sweet Treat Team Member, I had an extra special opportunity to participate in a Wilton Sweet Treat Team Holiday Cookie Exchange. My partner was Mandy from Waiting on Martha. Now I have to tell you that the members of the Wilton Sweet Treat Team are some amazing bloggers. In fact, I would even classify a lot of them as professional decorators. Me on the other hand – well I am by no means a professional, but I definitely do put all my effort into making the best cupcakes, cookies and cakes I can. And do you wanna know something? My family and friends love it!!!
I’ve been wanting to try Color Flow for a really long time and thought this would be the perfect opportunity! I started with the Wilton Roll-Out Cookie Recipe. These cookies are yummy with Color Flow, Royal Icing or just by themselves! We made stockings, mittens and Christmas trees for Mandy. I sure hope she enjoys them!
Once we the Roll-Out Cookies were cooked and cooled, we prepared the Color Flow mixture. There was a regular mixture and then a thin mixture. The regular mixture was what we used to outline the cookie and then we filled it with the thinner Color Flow Mixture. It was pretty dang cool!
Making the cookies was a lot of fun and I hope that Mandy enjoys them! A big thanks to Wilton for making this Secret Santa Cookie Exchange possible!
What is your favorite cookies to make during the holidays?

I like to make sugar cookies at the holiday, but my family always requests chocolate chip. It’s a time saver to go their route, but I also love getting into the spirit of the holiday by decorating cookies too!

You do a beautiful job with your cookies. They look so professional. My kids who are now adults have always been in love with the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. I don’t make cookies much throughout the year anymore but I always make the oatmeal ones around the holidays for them.

Our favorite cookies are the italian wedding balls
That’s a great way to celebrate the holidays! Creating cookies and exchanging them with others seem so much fun. There’s an added excitement to the element of surprise to find out what shapes and designs others will come out with.
I love to eat cookies but I am not a big baker. I try to make things look pretty but it does not work very often. I think I need to try this product as I love how your cookies turned out!
Love the cookie shapes, it’s perfect for Christmas; I love baking!
Those cookies will certainly brighten anyone’s day and they clearly communicate Merry Christmas. They look both yummy and merry. 🙂

We love making cut out cookies for the holidays, too. I’ve not made a frosting/icing like this one but will try it. Wilton has the best baking products ever! Love the brand.
Your cookies turned out great! Cookie exchanges are so popular right now. I love Wilton’s products.
Some of my favorite memories of all time are making Christmas cookies with my daughters when they were young. We never tried this technique but it looks like a ton of fun. Maybe I’ll have an opportunity to try it with my grandchildren.
I have never seen the color flow products before. This would have been so handy last week! 😉 Will try it for our next party!
I haven’t used Color Flow yet but I’m excited to! These cookies turned out so cute!!
Honestly, I haven’t tried baking holiday cookies yet. I thought I would be able to do it this year but things had been so hectic. Hopefully, next year. 🙂 Those look good, by the way.
The cookies look real good. Nice festive treat.
Your cookies turned out great! For some reason whenever I try to bake cookies they either run together or loose their shape entirely. Your cookies look nicely decorated and I bet tasty too!
