Featured Blogger Friday
I am so excited to have Featured Blogger Friday back! As a blogger who’s been in the business for 5 years, I love “giving back” by putting other bloggers in the spotlight. It also gives me a chance to get to know other bloggers out there in the ever-growing blogosphere! Today, I’m excited to feature Caroline, one of my very own contributing authors here on The Mommy-Files!

I started blogging earlier this year when my girlfriend, Shannon Gosney, invited me on a blogging trip she won to Charleston, SC. Upon meeting the other bloggers, and seeing the behind the scenes to what bloggers really do, I was extremely interested in starting myself. I enjoy writing about my own experiences as a single, stay-at-home mom of 6-year-old twins, travel, reviews and giveaways. Shannon’s company, The Mommy-Files, has since hired me on as a contributing editor.
In my past life (before children), I ran a successful production company in Los Angeles, CA. Constantly on the move, I loved watching a project from conception through post production and having the satisfaction of seeing our projects on TV. I truly enjoyed my job; never experienced the same day twice. Having the twins gave me a whole new outlook on life and what was important to me. I realized that I wanted them to have a similar upbringing as I did, and I didn’t want them to grow up in LA. So we moved to a less populated area of California, the beautiful Central Coast. This place has it all: festivals and parades, beaches, mountains, lakes and rivers. So many places to explore; I’m excited to have my kids experience them with me. This excites me, and as a blogger I can share it with others.
As my twins grow older and more self sufficient, I’m finding that I can actually read a book, a blog, or even take a bath. I forgot how amazing baths are! Now that school is getting ready to start, they will be entering 1st grade (sniff, sniff), which means a full day of school (yeah!); I hope to be more involved in my writing and blogging.
I’ve always been an open person and believe that everything happens for a reason. One aspect I like about blogging is how your experiences can help others who might be going through similar situations on such a large forum. Not only can you help others, but also the love and support you receive from total strangers can be enough to lift your head up for that day. That being said, I wrote a very person article about Living with Multiple Sclerosis (http://www.
Now for the question speed round:
Siblings, married, children?
No siblings; I’m an only child. I am recently divorced with 6 year old boy/girl twins, Carter & Caitlyn.
Where do you live?
We currently reside on California’s Central Coast in a small township called Nipomo, about 6 miles to the beach (as the crow flies).
What is the best place you’ve ever traveled to?
I love to travel and have been blessed to have parents who wanted me to experience other cultures. The best place is a tough one. The best family location? I loved Atlantis in the Bahamas with their lazy rivers and awesome slides. The best historical location? Germany, namely Berlin. The best beaches? Anywhere in Hawaii.
