Aloha Friday #53
Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday! Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life, I participate in Aloha Friday each Friday!
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question is:
What do you like to eat on the 4th of July?
I love hot dogs, chips, potato salad, and soda! Plus, pie of some sort is always great!
Feel free to link up your Aloha Friday posts below!

anything that’s been grilled – burgers, dogs, whatever! potato salad, and something sweet for dessert. We usually have a few beers to wash it all down with, too.
Happy 4th & Happy Friday!
I like to have barbecued potato salad. It is slightly warm (no mayo or eggs!) and so yummy.
oh yummy I love cookout food, a delicious hamburger with corn on the cob a yummy cold salad of sorts, watermelon and a delicious dessert!
anything grilled…
but i have no clue what we will have this year
Well, no kids will be home this year, I don’t think, so it will just be hubby, me, and the dog. Not sure what I will make yet, but probably grilled burgers and a big salad.
We like grilling. Or at least I like it when hubby grills. 🙂 I picked up some steak, potatoes, and corn on the cob to throw on the grill this weekend. Can’t wait.
Anything grilled, shrimp salad that hubby makes, chips, iced tea.
saw on another blog that you would like to read the kite runner…
just wanted to tell you..
GREAT BOOK..
I read it, while my hubby was deployed to Afghanistan…
then he sent me a copy of it.. from over there…
and the movie is great too!
hope you get to read it!
Potato Salad or Macaroni Salad–only my mom’s recipe (and sadly I won’t get any this year). I also love Texas Sheet Cake.
We’re smoking a brisket. We’ll also be eating corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad and a cherry-blueberry cobbler with homemade ice cream for desert. I can’t wait!
I don’t really have specific 4th of July traditional food.. love picnic things, hamburgers, chicken, chips and salsa, and so on.
Like to eat burgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, and other goodies on the 4th. Have a great weekend.
Watermelon, corn on the cob and tri-tip!
I usually make BBQ chicken – just like I did this year. It was yummy. Plus macaroni and potato salad.
I also made Whoopie Pies this year… Bill and I are really big chocolate fans – like someone else I know! 🙂
hamburgers. sorry, i’m lame!!!!
