This is John. John is a Blue Jay who loves peanuts. My dad has trained him to take peanuts out of our hands and it’s so neat when he flies up to you and takes it right out of your hands!

Check out the video below. P.S. I totally realized I forgot to include Sam’s name in the end credits, but it was too late to change it. I love you still Sammy!

The video was taken using the Flip Video Camera and the pictures were taken using the Nikon D5000 Camera. All footage was taken by Shannon at The Mommy-Files.

That is so awesome! Did you Dad start that with John when he was baby out of the nest.> We have lots of Blue Jays in our yard and would love to be able to teach them to eat out of my hands too.

That is awesome!! I love birds, at least I love them in nature not so much in my house. I just realized that we had hummingbirds where we live so I have started feeding them.

How in the world did he train him to do that?

I just watched the video. How cute that John the Jay eats from al of your family’s hands! That’s fantastic your father taught him to do that. Your dad has made a friend for life! I wish we had a bird like that who visited us. Thanks for the video!
