Smucker’s Event in Ohio (Day 1)
Last night, at about 9:00 p.m., a car picked me up from the house. Not a cab, but a nice town car – thank you so much Smucker’s!!! My flight left at 10:20 p.m. I now know why they call it a “red-eye” flight. My eyes were literally blood shot and red because I was so tired. My flight was 4 hours long and took me all the way to North Carolina. From there, I headed to Cleveland, Ohio – only an hour and a half long flight. I thought I might sleep some on the 4 hour flight, but no luck. I was so paranoid about snoring and drooling in my sleep, not to mention the fact that I was freezing, that I only slept for 30 minutes. YIKES! I don’t drink coffee, so relied on Coca Cola and chocolate to keep me alert and going.
**Note: If you are on a 4 hour flight, do not drink Coca Cola. You will make at least 3 trips to the bathroom to empty your bladder – lol!**
I arrived at the airport in Cleveland, Ohio at 9:16 a.m. (which is actually 6:16 Washington time – I lost 3 hours) and headed straight to the hotel. I showered, put my makeup on, and did my hair. Shortly after, I met up with some fabulous bloggers and our hostess for the day, Wendy, to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. It was so much fun! Let me tell you – I have not laughed so hard in a long time. It was a breath of fresh air!!!
I was so excited to have the opportunity to meet Stacy of Mom Central in person! She is so funny and is an amazing woman. I definitely look to her as a mentor and love to hang out with her. I can’t wait until we can hang out again (lol – 6:47 anyone?).
I also had the opportunity to meet up with Jennifer of The Dirty t Shirt again. She is so sweet and fun to hang out with. I am so glad I had the chance to get to know her more and hang out with her!
After lunch, we headed to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. I have one word for you – AWESOME! I definitely want to come back someday with my husband and explore it some more! It was so amazing to see all of the guitars, costumes, pictures, signatures, and more! Definitely something to experience if you are in the Cleveland area.
