FREE CHILDREN’S BOOK GIVEAWAY!!!!

I love to enter contests and rarely win them. However, I thought it might be fun to hold a contest and give something away to somebody else. If it works out well, I might continue to do it in the future. I am giving away a copy of the book, “Superfudge,” by Judy Blume. It is a great book to read – no matter what your age is.

Here are the rules for the contest:

1) Leave a comment on this post with the name of your favorite children’s book title or author
2) Email me at themommyfiles@gmail.com if you see your name posted as the winner
3) The contest ends on October 5th, 2008 at midnight (WA time)
4) The winner will be selected at random
5) I will announce the winner in a post on my blog on October 6th, 2008
6) If you don’t leave a comment, you don’t have an entry in the contest.
7) Final rule is that you must live in the United States (due to shipping costs)

Good luck and happy commenting!

OOoh, I would love to win this for my daughter. I don’t think I myself have ever actually read it either, so if I won I know we’d have a fun time reading it together.

When I was a young girl I was fixated on the Nancy Drew series and on Cynthia Voight’s HOMECOMING. I never read the other stories in Cynthia’s series, but that book I read time and time again. It was excellent.

    Thanks for the entry!

Pickle Chiffon Pie by Jolly Roger Bradfield
The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton

  5. I still have all my old Judy Blume tween books (Deenie, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret) and she remains my fave author from my tween years… I also have the Laura Ingalls series which I really enjoyed when I was younger.

  6. I saw Rule No. 7 – have to live in the states. Well my folks still live in California, so maybe IF I were to win SUPERFUDGE, you could always ship the book to them, who will ship it to me in one of their MANY packages they send us! 🙂

    So anyways …

My ALLLLL time favorite child’s book was Charlotte’s Web. I still have the exact same book that I read when I was a child. I brought it here to Switzerland with me, since I couldn’t part with it.

I loved this book, (still do), because I have a great love for animals in general, always have. Then when Fern saved Wilbur in the beginning, from her father almost killing him, I was already in love … haha 🙂

I am slowlyyyy introducing Marissa to Charlotte’s Web as well. I started out with the 1970’s orginal cartoon movie and she LOVES it. So hopefully when she is able to read, I can pass down my book to her, since she too loves animals, and I am sure she will enjoy it just as much as I did.

So there ya have it! 🙂
