VTech Cordless Answering System with Caller ID/Call Waiting CS6829 + $100 Walmart GC Giveaway

Sponsor sample and prize disclosure

Serious woman on two telephones.

When you have a landline, you want to ensure that you have a phone that works…all the time.  I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with the VTech Phone Systems I’ve been given to review.  Most recently, I received the VTech Cordless Answering System with Caller ID and Call Waiting (Model CS6829).  It’s a pretty cool phone to use in your home or office!

MAIN PRODUCT FEATURES

– Digital Answering System – With up to 14 minutes of recording time, the digital answering system grabs calls when you can’t.

– Caller ID / Call Waiting – stores 50 calls.  Know who’s calling with Caller ID / Call Waiting.  Handset displays the name, number, time and date of incoming calls.  I love this features because when there are times that I can’t make it to the phone right away, I know that I can always go back and see who called and call them back in case they didn’t leave a message.  I can also avoid those unsolicited telemarketing calls that I don’t like to answer.

– Full Duplex Handset Speakerphone – Enjoy a speakerphone that can keep up with your calls.  Increase participation by allowing both ends to speak – and be heard – at the same time for conversations that are more true to life.

– Backlit Keypad and Display – The entire keypad illuminates along with the LCD screen, allowing for easier viewing in dim light.  I like this feature as well, especially when you answer the phone at night or your in a dark room when it starts ringing.  It helps to be able to see who is calling or who you are dialing.

– ECO Mode Power-Conserving Technology – Power-conserving technology manages consumption for optimal battery performance.

– Quiet Mode – Silence the ringer on the handset and base unit immediately, or for an extended period of time.  This is really handy for those headaches or migraines or even when your little one is asleep.  No need to wake them up when answering the phone.

  1. I have a Vtech phone and it works very well. It is over 5 years old! What I like about this phone is the 50 name and number phonebook directory! Boy do I need this because I keep losing phone numbers! And I also like the message retrieval from handset.

  2. The most important feature I want in an answering machine is for it to be able to record the message clearly. There should be a time and date stamp so I know when the call was received. There should be an audible indicator that a call was received and a display showing how many calls are waiting to be reviewed. I should be able to listen to the messages remotely, either using the handset or from another phone anywhere in the world. See, I don’t want much!

  4. Love the remote access feature and the ability to play messages using the handset. I hate having to stand/sit next to the machine waiting for messages to play!

  5. The “Quiet mode” – the blessed ability to turn the ringer off and let the machine take the calls in SILENCE.

  6. Well a feature I like about this phone, is it has a quiet feature, so that at dinner time you can eat uninterrupted. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!

  7. When I look for a cordless phone system, the first thing I look for is power (reach), because we have concrete walls, inside and out, and a sort of “L” shape to the house. I hate when you walk from one room to the other and suddenly the call drops or starts crackling.

We had a Vtech phone for several years and it worked great. I replaced it with a different brand that was on sale, and we haven’t been near as happy with it. I would love to win a new Vtech system.

  8. One feature I look for is caller ID..I get a lot of calls from unknown numbers, etc and that is a great feature to have so I don’t have to answer it if I don’t want to. Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

  9. We don’t have caller ID on our current phone and we get so many telemarketer calls, I really miss having that feature and would love a phone that does that!

  10. A good range so you can take it outside. Nothing worse than walking out your front door with your phone, sitting down 10 feet from your place and getting nothing but static when you try to use it.

I like the feature where you can listen in on the handset to see who’s leaving a message, so you can intercept if desired. Thanks for the giveaway!

  12. I look for a good price and excellent sound quality. I had one once that sounded like i was talking into a tin can. lol

  13. I actually look to see what kind of battery packs they use – some of those cordless phone battery packs are expensive. The one I have now uses rechargeable AA batteries

  15. Wow. I think it’s awesomeness beats all systems that he could find on the market. The speakerphone enables users to be on the phone and work in the kitchen.

  16. I like plying my system near my closet so I can listen to my messages while hanging up my jacket. (just in. As I need to immediately leave) 🙂

  17. Commented on a youtube post: Fitcation
I am glad that you had such a good time – a conference/retreat where you had a chance to meet new friends and enjoy both a fitness bootcamp and a vacation. Sounds like a win win

  18. The main features I look for are long battery, easy locator and many handsets because my wife is always leaving and losing phones in the couch cushions

  19. Some of my favorite features are to be able to expand with more handsets, caller ID, a speakerphone button and to be able to hear my voicemail through the handset.

  20. the ease of using it! some are so difficult you cant figure out what all of it is or even does.i love the new ones wher eyou have more then one phone.that way you got one in the bedroom, living room and kitchen.so you dont run all over looking for phone.now problem is getting the kids and hubby to leave them where they go.and not all over the place and screaming cant find the phone lol.thank you for the chance to win!

  21. It has to have a big memory. I can’t remember anybody’s number and I love being able to look back at who has called, or save lots of favorites!

Good reception. There is nothing worse than static during a call. My current one is impossible to use when the microwave is running.

  23. I look for Caller ID with an extensive history (I’m terrible at remembering phone numbers, so that’s a huge help!).

  24. One of the features that I look for in a cordless answering system is caller ID. VTech has so many quality phones to choose from that last for years. Money well spent. Thanks Shannon 🙂 Have a great week ahead.

  25. What I look for the most in a cordless phone is battery life. Other than that I like comfort – how it feels in the hand.

  26. Call waiting and caller ID are the most important features when Im phone shopping (who could live without that nowadays lol) The battery life of the handset is also pretty important too.

  27. The main features I look for are Caller ID and Call Waiting, so I know who’s calling and to check the messages for the incoming call. also like lots of recording time for my messages when I;m not at home. This VTech System has up to 14 minutes of recording time available and I like that.

  28. find handset!! our handset has been lost 4 months… there was no find key for it- just hoping to run across it someday, lols

  29. Besides nifty extras like the recording feature, the things I look for most in a cordless answering system is a large memory for messages.

  30. One thing I look for in a cordless answering system is the capability to store names and phone numbers for easy access.
