5 Tips for a Healthy Smile + Giveaway
When I was a young girl, I was very self-conscious about my smile because my teeth were everywhere. I went through the process of braces and retainers to have them straightened in Junior High and High School and loved how they looked afterwards. I took very special care of my teeth from that point on. As I’ve become an adult, my bottom teeth have shifted slightly, but overall, I love my smile and feel like it is one of the first things people notice when they meet me.
For a long time now, I’ve been using a manual toothbrush – you know, like the kind you get from the dentist when you go in for your check-up? It’s easy to use, but there are many times where I’ve found myself having to brush not once, but twice just to get that overall clean feeling. It was definitely time to try a new toothbrush! I headed over to our local Walmart in search for the Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush. I was able to easily locate the PowerUp Toothbrush and loved the orange and blue colors on the packaging! Who’d have thought I could purchase a brand new, affordable, battery-powered toothbrush from Sonicare for under $20 at Walmart? You can see more about my shopping trip HERE.
I had never used the Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush before, so I was really excited to see how much cleaner and healthier my smile would be! When researching the PowerUp Toothbrush online, one particular quote stood out to me – “A month’s worth of brush strokes in a day.” Wow! That is exactly what I’m looking for! No more brushing twice instead of once just to get the clean “feeling.” I even found a cool video online that shows the evolution of toothbrushes.
The Philips Sonicare PowerUp toothbrush is designed to be as easy to use as a manual toothbrush, while delivering superior results and a better experience (like brushing once instead of twice). The PowerUp Removes more plaque, helps reduce cavities and helps improve gum health. The end result is an amazing smile plus the confidence that comes with it! The PowerUp toothbrush even has Reminder Bristles, which fade when a replacement is needed. Dentists recommend replacing bristles every 3 months for optimal results.
5 Tips for a Healthy Smile
1 – Brush at least twice a day. Brush once in the morning and at night.
2 – Choose a toothbrush that gets the job done the first time. The Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush does a great job at this.
3 – Floss at least once a day.
4 – Use mouthwash after brushing and flossing. Try to use mouthwash at least once day. It’s great if you can do it twice.
5 – Visit a dental clinic and go in for regular check-ups as well as dental procedures like dental implants, invisalign, etc. A lot of people prefer invisalign braces as they are virtually invisible, more comfortable and easier to clean.
