King’s Hawaiian is Saying “Mahalo” 10,000 to 25,000 Times! Vote Now
This summer, we are headed to the beautiful island of Maui for my little sister’s wedding. I haven’t been to Maui since I was 13. I remember waking up in the morning and drinking POG (Papaya, Orange and Guava juice) and eating King’s Hawaiian bread, warmed up and served with butter. I’m super excited to take our 3 boys to the island of Maui this summer and carry on with the “Hawaiian” tradition in our family. One of the words we learned in Hawaii was “Mahalo,” which means thank you. According to this official site, King’s Hawaiian wants to know how you show thanks! A few ways that I show thanks include making a favorite dish for someone; hosting a dinner for someone; house sitting for a friend going out of town; putting together DIY thank you’s (including notes and baskets); helping with a charity (including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels Association of America, Family Caregiver Alliance, and One Warm Coat).
In the Hawaiian culture, giving generously to others without expecting anything in return is at it’s heart and soul, and a core value of King’s Hawaiian. Giving is more than just a social formality. It’s a way to say “Mahalo” or offer assistance to others. Giving brings joy to those around you.
King’s Hawaiian is inviting all of us – their “ohana” (the Hawaiian word for “extended family”) to share our Aloha Spirit by participating in the King’s Hawaiian Project Mahalo. Each Project Mahalo charitable partner will receive a minimum $10,000 donation, and the partner earning the highest number of votes will instead receive a $25,000 donation!
