Millstone Coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup (and Keurig Brewer) Giveaway

Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Smucker’s Headquarters in Ohio and learn more about the company.  Folgers is one of the brands we learned about at Smucker’s Headquarters.  My parents love Folgers!  In fact, Folgers is the preferred coffee of choice of my parents!  We were excited to receive samples of the new Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup Portion Packs, as well as a Keurig Single-Cup Brewer.

In October 2010, the makers of Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections announced the launch of six delicious varieties of coffee now available in K-Cup portion packs for use with Keurig Single-Cup Brewers.  The new line allows consumers to enjoy their everyday morning routine by experiencing the same premium coffee they love one perfectly brewed cup at a time.

Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are made from the same high quality beans already available on the shelf in stores in over 50 blends.  The portion packs offer the exceptional taste that both brand’s passionate coffee drinkers have come to expect.  The superior taste is the result of both brand’s precise “bean to cup” process that involves an intricate method of growing, roasting, and blending to ensure each cup of coffee delivers a unique coffee drinking experience.

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available in the following flavors:

Millstone Breakfast Blend (Fair Trade Certified)

Millstone Hazelnut Cream

Folgers Gourmet Selections Black Silk

Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian

Folgers Gourmet Selections Lively Colombian Decaf

Folgers Gourmet Selections Vanilla Biscotti

Millstone and Folgers understands how hectic mornings can be and the growing need to simplify the day,” said Maribeth Badertscher, Vice President, Corporate Communications, The J.M. Smucker Company.  “That is why we are thrilled to offer the new line of Millstone coffee and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion pack options that allow time-pressed consumers the opportunity to enjoy a quick and quality cup of coffee.”

Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections K-Cup portion packs are available nationwide in 12 and 18 count packs (MSRP $6.99-$9.99), online in a 24 count pack (MSRP $13.95), and at club stores in an 80 count pack (MSRP $33.99).  For more information on Millstone and Folgers Gourmet Selections please visit the brands’ websites at www.millstone.com and www.folgers.com.

The Keurig Single Cup brewing system allows consumers to enjoy one perfectly brewed cup of coffee one at a time.  For more information on Keurig, visit www.keurig.com.

MY THOUGHTS

I think this is a fantastic idea and am excited to share information about it on The Mommy-Files!  The K-Cup portion packs and the Keurig Single Cup brewing system is perfect for anybody who wants coffee, but doesn’t want to make a whole pot of coffee!  It’s also great if you have two coffee drinkers (or more) in your home who want different flavored cups of coffee!  Thanks to Folgers, Millstone, and Keurig for great products!!!

  2. Get everything ready the night before so you have extra minutes in the morning to sleep in or relax with a cup of coffee by yourself or while chatting with the Hubby/Kids!

  3. My best tips is first to get up about an 45 minutes before everyone else in our house. I’ll make a cup of coffee, sit, relax and wake up, while watching the news.
The night before, I set up my clothing, kids lunches, get kids to get their clothing & backpacks ready. All this I find helps us out in the morning too.
Thanks so much for this wonderful giveaway.

When I know it’s going to be a rough morning, I flip one of my blood pressure caps over & pre-load my morning cocktail of pills, set all of my clothes out and set the coffee maker to auto. I’m never quite able to focus until after half a cup of coffee.

  5. I have my kids get their thing ready the night before. A nice hot, caffinated drink in the morning helps me wake up and get moving.

  6. To make mornings less hectic, I pack lunches and set out clothes the night before. My morning cup of coffee wakes me up and helps me start the day on a positive note.

  7. Rebecca Fanshier

My tip with two in school and one active toddler is to have as much done the night before as possible. I am not a morning person so a good cup of coffee perks me up and helps me do my job!!

  8. Preparation is huge in our house for a smooth morning, having a plan and as much done ahead of time; ie lunches, clothes picked out, breakfast plan makes it almost effortless. My cup of coffee comes first and is a must every morning. Without it, no amount of preparation could get us out the door on time.

  9. We make sure to have our car and house keys in a bowl on the dining room table so that we always know where they are and don’t have to go search for them. Saves a lot of time and effort.

  10. We enjoy our Keurig Brewer. I make sure the Keurig coffee filters are ready to go for my husband and myself each morning. We bought extra filters to use our own favorite blends of coffee. I love the smell of a fresh cup of coffee each morning. It does help get ya goin’. 🙂 Thanks gahome2mom/at/gmail/dot/com

  11. The best way for me to avoid a hectic morning is to get as much of the work done the night before. Amazing how much smoother the morning goes when I spend a few minutes in the evening. A smooth cup of coffee helps because then my husband is a much happier man. He’s the coffee drinker in the family.

  12. I try to get everything I think of ready the night before, from lunch bags, clothes. I can’t function without my morning coffee, seriously.

  13. Coffee is my sanity in the morning.

I get all the kids out of the house, off to school/nanny then I am at work by 7am.
Computers get turned on, my plant might get water and then I’m off to the coffee machine. My boss has learned not to speak with me until 7:30… when the coffee has kicked in.

Only then will my sanity be restored.

    ONLY then…..

  14. Making my coffee is the first thing i do every morning–it’s my morning “get up and go” fuel 🙂 It helps when getting the kids off to school and hubby off to work 🙂

  15. My tip is prep as much as you can the night before. I also get up several hours earlier than anyone else and it helps me get everything set for the day.

  16. To make the morning as hectic free as possible do as much as possible the night before. Organize clothing for the kids, line up shoes, make lunches, get back packs ready! A good smelling hot rich cup of coffee will help you to wake up and be able to focus on your day. I read some place that the smell of coffee even aids in getting you awake!

  17. Wake up early and exercise. It’s a great way to start the day and a nice cup of gourmet coffee is like a reward after an early morning run!

  18. I get up @ 5 AM to have an hour to myself (with my coffee of course!) to get my head straight and my mood off to a good start before the little one gets up. Smoooooth sailing from there, almost everyday!

  19. I set the coffee pot on timer so I wake to the great smell of coffee to get me started. With everything ready to go the night before, leaves me more time to enjoy my first cup and my next on my way to work.

  20. I keep a standard routine so as not to get crazed…starting with a great cup of coffee, of course. It keeps me calm.

    lkish77123 at gmail dot com

  21. My best tip is start teaching your children early to get themselves ready for school…if they are getting themselves ready you can get yourself and backup as needed.

  22. My trick sounds counter-productive, but I actually get up 30 minutes earlier than I need to. This way, I can lay in bed and watch TV for a bit, or hit the snooze (sometimes BOTH!) before getting up and I’m not so rushed. I also make sure that when I get home, my purse, keys, etc. are all on the table by the front door (along with anything else I need to take to work) so I’m not hunting for them in the morning.

Also, having my coffeemaker programmed to have my coffee ready is definite incentive to get out of bed Nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee! 🙂

  23. I manage a hectic morning by getting everything ready the night before..and a cup of coffee in the morning certainly helps the day go by smoother ..i also make sure I have my clothes ready for work the night before..

  24. My tips and tricks to manage a hectic morning is to plan ahead of time. The night before, try to pick out school clothes, pack lunches, organized backpacks and leave them near the front door, so the kids don’t forget anything. Also, it is good to have an idea of what you plan to make for breakfast in the morning.

A fresh gourmet cup of coffee in the morning helps me be more alert and get my day started. Its warm, soothing and flavorful, that jolt of caffeine gives me the energy I need to perk up and get moving.

  25. my best trick is that I have my kids race to see who can get ready the fastest. Then I grab my coffee to go and sip it as I drive them to school blaring my radio

    angelface041206 at yahoo.com

  26. My best tips for a morning are to work as a team with my hubby! The more we work together and share the roles of getting breakfasts and lunches ready and our son ready the quicker we all can get out the door… Coffee keeps me sane throughout the day!!

  27. I do like coffee in the morning. It makes me slow down and relax a little. As for my morning, I have my son’s backpack ready to go the night before and set by the door. My kids like Sesame Street and since they can’t yet tell time, they know when to get dressed, put on socks and shoes, and go to the bathroom based on which segment is on. (Example: socks and shoes on when Elmo’s World comes on) This way I can get ready and pack lunches without having to nag the kids to get ready – they know what they need to do.

  28. I try to get as much as possible ready the night before to make things go smoothly in the morning. A good cup of coffee is something that I pamper myself with. It’s a small indulgence.

  29. to manage morningtime, a routine is very helpful. having the kids know what they need to do and in what order seems to help things along

  30. I tackle mornings with a routine! Up, let the dogs out, start coffee, get toddler up and have her use the potty/change the diaper, breakfast for everyone (including coffee!), let the dogs in, get dressed and get going!

  31. I refuse to take any calls or answer any emails until I’ve had at least one cup of coffee (gourmet or otherwise). I try to wake up early enough that I have the first hour of my morning all to myself.

  32. I always make sure to set everything out I need the night before. That way I don’t have to rush A good cup for coffee just sets my day off righ. It gets me motivated to get things done!

  33. with 2 kids in school and a toddler I do as much as I can the night before. A good cup of coffee is essential to my get up and go!!

  34. My best tip for less hectic mornings is to lay out clothes and make lunches the night before. I look forward to my morning cup of coffee, and consider it a treat to have a flavored variety. This would be perfect for sending me off to work in a happy mood! My husband would enjoy it too, I’m sure!

  35. Hello, I plan ahead, if we have a hectic morning scheduled, I get outfits out the night before, determine who’s shower first and the coffee gets set up the night before, so we just have to turn the machine on. I for one don’t really wake up until I have my coffee. I may go through the motions, but it’s that second or third sip of coffee before I’m raring to go. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  36. My tip is to get up 5-10 minutes early to allow extra time for the hectic days. A good cup of coffee in the morning wakes me up and calms me down, makes me ready for the day.

    txhottie_86 at yahoo dot com

  37. My best tip would be to get as much as possible ready the night before. And a great cup of coffee jump starts my brain in the morning.

  38. I have lunches packed and breakfasts planned the night before. Even with my coffee, I’m pretty non-functional first thing in the morning!

  39. My best tip for an easy morning is to get things arranged the night before the clothes, the backpacks, etc. and the coffee…Gourmet coffee would help ease my day along from the morning tension

    pattifritz2000 at yahoo dot com
    thanks for the chance

  40. one of my tricks is to have the coffee maker all ready with water/coffee so in the morning when i am zonked..i just hit a button..even just smelling it coming helps me wake up. i also pack up whatever we may need and leave it by the back door
    nannypanpan at sbcglobal.net

  41. My best trick to avoid a hectic morning is to get a jump-start the night before. I clean up the kitchen after dinner, make every one’s lunches, have the kids pack their backpack and lay out their clothes for the next day, and set the coffee pot to start brewing before we get up in the morning.

  42. My best trick to avoid a hectic morning is to get a jump-start the night before. I clean up the kitchen after dinner, make every one’s lunches, have the kids pack their backpack and lay out their clothes for the next day, and set the coffee pot to start brewing before we get up in the morning.

  43. My way to deal with a hectic morning is get everything laid out the night before that I will need for the next day. Having a cup of coffee helps me in waking up and having a little energy.

  44. Definitely one of my tips would be prepare the night before-Lay out clothes, know what you’re going to eat, make sure there is gas in the car, etc etc. It helps cut down on precious time you’d use in the morning.

Thank you for this wonderful giveaway Shannon!

  45. I always try to do everything possible – have a bag/lunch/whatever packed, etc. – the night before when I am more awake & less rushed – this helps so much. And a good cup of coffee in the morning makes all the difference when I’m trying to keep pace with my 3 young children (with another due in January!) Thank you!

  46. The best way that I manage hectic mornings is to keep as close to schedule as possible. Doing this allows me time to sit and enjoy that oh-so-important first cup of coffee!

  47. Trying again: My best advice is to do as much as you can the night before and use everyone’s help!! A good cup of coffee is essential to my get up and go!

  48. My tips and tricks to getting a hectic morning started is to try and not rush getting ready or in the car. It’s better to be late than not being safe about things. Also, I like to prepare things ahead of time like snacks, breakfast so it’s grab-and-go, and a good cup of coffee in the morning on my way to work keeps me going throughout the morning!

    Seasidesmitten@aol.com

  49. Prepare ahead the night before as much as possible and always allow for a little extra time for the unexpected. A good cup of coffee gets me alert and going in the morning and puts me in a good mood.

  50. ShellieAndBrutus

I get up early and get through the dirty chores (cleaning kitty litter, trash, etc.) before popping in the shower. Then I can relax and check my e-mail while drinking a fresh cup of coffee.

  51. We set up as much as we can the night before so there’s less to do in the morning. And coffee gets my eyes to open in the morning! 🙂

  52. The best mornings are when I have prepared our lunches the night before. I must have coffee in the morning – would love to own this system.

  53. I try to have everything ready the night before. Lunches are packed and in the fridge. I need my first cup of coffee in the morning to get me going.

  54. A fresh gourmet cup of coffee usually has to wait until the weekend for me to savor due to getting ready for school and getting ready to teach the first class on time. It helps to have all of the clothes selections decided for the next day and the lunches already packed.

  55. Whoops – #448 was meant for another Keurig contest, sorry 🙁

So I don’t get an extra entry, please make #448 my “I Follow The Mommy-Files on Twitter” entry.

For this post, this is my “I’m a Fan of The Mommy-Files on Facebook” entry.

  56. Mandatory – I actually don’t drink coffee most mornings because it’s too much of a pain! (thus why I need a Keurig). Hectic morning? Try to right down everything the night before and prep as much as you can ahead (like lunches, etc.)

  57. I have a fresh ground cup of coffee daily made by my husband. It would be a get to him to not have to worrk so hard in the morning! 🙂

  58. My tip to help you get through hectic mornings is put all the stuff you’re taking with you by the door. I used to always forget stuff but this has helped a lot. Also, without my morning coffee I’d be a zombie during my hour ride to work. Coffee is essential!

  59. I manage hectic mornings by doing as much ahead of time as I can. I make extra pancakes and waffles over the weekend to be frozen and heated in the microwave during the week. We set out clothes the night before and make sure bookbags are packed. A fresh gourmet cup of coffee definitely helps me wake up and get the kids out the door!

  60. Getting everything ready the night before. Coffee gives me the energy to get moving and shaking!

    nancymeyer1 at gmail dot com

  61. I manage mornings by doing as much as possible the night before. I don’t make coffee at home because it seems like a waste. The Keurig would make it easy to do.
    Thanks for the contest.

  62. I prepare as much as I can at night. Gourmet coffee gives me the caffiene kick I need to start the day.

    denise_22315 at yahoo dot com

  63. My best tip is to do whatever can be done the night before, make sure everyone has complete outfit (including coat, hat, mittens, shoes, homework, backpacks, etc) laid out, I even set the table for breakfast the night before. I couldn’t face the day without a cup of coffee before I wake everyone up.

  64. i cannot function without coffee. if i was REALLY on the ball i’d program the coffee pot to go off right when i roll out of bed, but that rarely happens. but once i have that first cup i’m ready for anything
    raggammuffin@gmail.com

  65. My best tip is to have everything ready the night before a hectic morning. I need my coffee first thing in the morning to get my day going!

  66. i lay out my clothes the night before to make my morning smoother, and i have at least 1 cup of coffee in the AM to wake up with a jolt of caffeine

  67. I plan as much as I can for the night before: lunches, attire and my work bag. This may take away some time in the evening before but saves what seems to be an hour in that moring as I have no recollection of events before I have my cup of Joe!

  68. I find that getting as much as possible the night before helps make the morning run smoother. Get everyones bag organised, clothes set out, extra things needed for the next day ready. Even a simple thing like having one place where the car keys are kept help.

  69. As others mentioned in their posts, I try to do as much as possible the evening before. I make sure the kitchen is clean, fill the coffeemaker, lay out my clothes, and make notes for the next day. At the crack of dawn, all I have to do is hit the “on” button and the morning is started. A great cup of hot coffee is more important to me than breakfast. I would be really, really cranky all day without my java!

  70. I make sure I pack lunches and get all the school papers together the night before. This cuts down on the last minute running around looking for things! I also find that making sure I have time to read the paper with a cup of coffee helps me start my day calmer!
    nrdunningATgmailDOTcom

  71. I get as much ready as I can the night before. A cup of coffee gives me a little me time before starting my busy day.

  72. The best way for a non chaotic morning is to prepare the night before, crockpot oatmeal is yummy and of course not needing to brew a whole pot would be great. A gourmet cup of coffee recharges depleted batteries, Oh CAFFEINE how I love thee and makes MOM pleasant 🙂 silenttributary at yahoo dot com

  73. Main: My tips for less stress in the morning, is to do as much the night before as possible. I lay out my kids clothes, pack backpacks and put by the door, and even get breakfast stuff picked out and ready, so all we have to do is get up and everything is ready to be done. I still need my daily caffiene though, and love the taste of chocolate coffee and french vanilla. It just helps wake me up and get me going!

    mandmvaught@centurylink.net

  74. I lay my outfit out the night before & prepare cut fruit & veggies for breakfast also the night before then all I have to do is shower & drink my coffee that gets me out the door & my second cup of coffe is on the road it helps me focus on the drive..

  75. we get our lunches ready the night before, have our clothes all picked out the night before, and have the coffee maker ready to go as well. just the smell of coffee gets us ready to start the day off.

  76. Lay out clothes and pack lunchboxes and backpacks the night before. Have a day-specific checklist for each day (for things like library books or instruments)

A cup of coffee is the only way to get it done – just the smell alone helps me wake up!

  77. We have a set checklist of every-morning tasks (brushing teeth, packing lunch into backpack, etc.) to keep mama nagging down. I usually don’t drink my coffee until I get to work–it’s my reward for starting my day out.

  78. Raven In A Blue Room

I set the coffee maker the night before and prepare what can be done the night before. Coffee is essential for me to get going in the morning

  81. My son takes a shower the night before, sets his clothes out, and then in the morning he can get dressed and eat and off to school.

  82. My best tip for managing a hectic morning is to prepare as much as possible the night before. A cup of fresh coffee helps me to energize me in the morning and helps to warm me up during the cold wisconsin winters

  83. Getting up even 15 min earlier than you think you should should help a LOT. It helps US! It saves us a bit of stress in the mornings usually. And some coffee always gives me some pep, which is welcomed. 🙂

    THANKS.

  84. Sorry, I thought there was credit for a Facebook post. Please change that to “I’m a Fan of The Mommy-Files on Facebook”.

So I don’t get an extra entry, please use this as my “I Follow The Mommy-Files on Twitter” entry.

  85. liked all on face book follow on twitter @jivetalker1
with 2 kids and 2 dogs all mornings are hectic, we run everyday even on the weekends. i am never myself without my coffee its like gas in the tank for me., i usually set up my coffee the night b4. i also pack lunches,so they are ready in the am. this would be so wonderful for me because i am the only coffee drinker in the house, and sure waste a lot of coffee.

  86. I try and do as much as possible the night before, like laying out clothes, making sure all papers for school are in their backpacks and making sure I am ready first so I can make sure that everyone else is where they need to be on time. I also get up about an hour early and this is where my first cup of coffee comes in. There is something so soothing about a fresh cup of hot coffee and the silence of the kitchen which gives me such a sense of peace and a I can do anything today feeling. Right before I wake up everyone else, I put everything on the kitchen table, bowls, cereal, glasses so that everyone can start right in on breakfast.

  87. My best tip is Mommy needs to be calm, cool and collected for the rest of the house to run smoothly, so I get up a half hour before everyone else. Start the coffee, turn on the local news, get online to check my email etc… and have that first morning cup of coffee. this gives me 15 – 20 minutes of absolute peace and quiet and “me’ time, giving me the energy and calm I need to get everyone else up and running without being in a daze.

  88. To manage a hectic morning, lay out everything you and your kids will need and wake up at least 15 minutes before your kids so you can prepare yourself for the morning. A fresh gourmet cup of coffee helps me get my mornings started by giving me the energy I need to get stuff done.

  89. My kids are trained to do everything the night before. We also have a white board on our fridge where they know to write down what they need bought, brought, or signed…. and by what days. That way nobody stops with their hand on the doorknob on the way out to the bus stop and says, “Oh yeah – I forgot to tell you. I need…..” and I miss the rest because I’m too busy strangling them 🙂

Oh yeah – coffee is the ONLY way I can wake up in the morning. When we have no electricity because of a storm, I’m so desperate that I’ll use the grill to get water hot and then I’ll put in some instant coffee granules

  90. I usually like to take a moment to myself if I’m having a hectic morning. I pour myself some coffee and grab some breakfast and recharge.

  91. to have a smooth morning, i get up extra early and get everything ready before i get the family up. a nice hot cup of gourmet coffee sounds amazing to add to my morning routine!

  92. I think when you can start the day in absolute peace and quite while you consume a cup or two of coffee, you can face whatever the day may bring.

  93. Just let me go out on the porch with cup of coffee in hand and have those first few minutes to myself and I am a happy camper.

  94. To make mornings less hectic, I set alarms clock 15 mins earlier so we dont rush. A nice, hot cup of coffee calms me down in the morning & gets me ready for the day!

  95. I like to be the first to wake up for some me time so I can focus myself and organize and coffee helps perk me up… and tasty coffee allows me to feel like I’m really indulging myself.

  96. i try to get everything ready as much as possible the night before. Coffee helps me just settle down and warm me up in the cold days 🙂
    xbeautifulcoma at yahoo dot com

  97. Mandatory – I like to have everything organized the night before, especially for the kids. I will have breakfast written down and the clothes set out and ready to go!

  98. Start with a cup of coffee to clear your head and warm you up! I’ve usually done as much as I can the night before. That, the coffee and a little morning time to yourself makes the rest go a lot easier!
    Thanks!

  99. I pack lunches the night before and I get up an hour earlier than everyone else to get myself ready first.

Gourmet Coffee makes me happy to be awake!

  100. I prepare as much as possible the night before and a fresh gourmet cup of coffee helps start my day to take a moment to enjoy the good things in life.

  101. I try to get as much as I can organized the night before a busy morning – laying out clothes, making sure bags are packed, doing prep work for breakfast and lunch – and then I like to get up an hour before anyone else rises to get everything in order, to get my workout in, and to sit and relax for a minute before the hectic morning begins. I couldn’t function so early in the morning without a great first cup of coffee, which at this point pretty much conditions me to be awake, alert, and energized upon first sip. Thanks for the chance to enter – have been coveting the Keurig for some time now!

  102. My best tip is to prepare a To Do list the night before. ANd yes I must have a couple cups of coffee to get started in the morning!

    ardy22 at earthlink dot net

  103. Veronica Garrett

I prepare for mornings the night before. Anything I need like lunches, clothes or any paperwork I take care of the night before. A cup of coffee relaxes me in the morning.

  104. My best tip is to get whatever you need ready the night before! Make sure to check and see if you have things like socks lol and something easy to grab for breakfast! Coffee always helps me have a better morning because I don’t get much sleep and without it I wouldn’t be as careful of a driver as I am cause I am very alert!
