Walt Disney’s “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” Giveaway

On July 14th, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimers Films are releasing a new movie called “Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” starring Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer, Monica Bellucci, and Toby Kebbell.  The movie is rated PG.

SYNOPSIS

Walt Disney Studios, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub, the creators of the “National Treasure” franchise, present “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”  “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” is an innovative and epic comedy adventure about a sorcerer and hapless apprentice who are swept into the center of an ancient conflict between good and evil.  Balthazar Blake (Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Molina).  Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protege.  The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness.  It’ll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”

  1. you really DO know how to make things hard… lol
I usually enjoy any Disney film I’ve seen, but the older ones are still the best… The Jungle Book is just timeless

  2. Pirates of the Caribbean with Johnny Depp. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice looks like a great family movie!

Okay, I know I am hopelessly old fashioned…..I still love Snow White the best. It is so innocent and beautifully drawn (and who in the WORLD sings like that?). I didn’t get to Disneyland until I had my own children, and it was absolutely *MAGIC* to see the characters and experience the wonder of Disney through the eyes of a child. I am hoping the new Sorcerer’s Apprentice has some of that Disney magic in it as well 🙂

  4. Currently, my favorite Disney film would have to be Pirates of the Carribean, although we are also fans of the National Treasure movies. Thanks.

  5. Only one? Lady and the Tramp is my favorite Disney film, with Lilo and Stitch a close second. Thank you for the fun give-away.

  6. To be fair, every time I see Nicholas Cage in a movie, I cringe. However, every time I see a Disney movie, I get all excited to see it! This is going to be a mixed bag, I’m sure. Anyway, I don’t know if you count Pixar in with Disney, but it would be The Incredibles if you do, or Dumbo if you don’t. Thanks!

  7. I have a special place in my heart for “The Little Mermaid.” I love the music and I know someone who worked on the film as an animator.
