Do you hate to mop?  Do you love to have the clean floors without all the mess and chemicals?  If so, you will definitely want to try out the Oreck Steam-It!  I was so excited to have the opportunity to review the Oreck Steam It!  It’s easy-to-use, effective, and eco-friendly!

So, how do you mop without using a bucket of water and cleaning solution?  The Oreck Steam-It uses steam to deep clean surfaces, including marble, ceramic, stone, vinyl, linoleum, and sealed hardwood floors.  You can even clean carpet and rugs, as well as drapes, upholstery, kitchen and bath counters, and more!  The Oreck Steam-It uses pressurized, “dry” steam to naturally disinfect and “melt away” dirt and grime. 

What makes the Oreck Steam-It different from other steam mops?  The Steam-It has a unique, pressurized vapor chamber, which makes it easy to clean above the floor without spilling.  It’s easy to use and eco-friendly.  You won’t need to use toxic chemicals or detergents, just tap water.

    • MY THOUGHTS:

    I like that it’s easy to use and effective.  It did take a little while at first to get it into action so it was quickly picking up the grime.  After a few minutes, however, it worked like a charm.  It’s definitely a plus that it only needs tap water and not the harsh chemicals and cleaners used to clean most floors.  I also like that the floors were dry after using it.  I give it a 4 out of 5 rating overall.

      I like so many things about the Oreck Steam-It, probably the one thing that makes it stand out from other steam mops is that it doesn’t leave wet floors, it is a dry steam…very cool!

      I haven’t heard of the Steam-It before, but since my husband had to sell his cleaning business, I really miss having a way to steam my tile floors. Plus, this will work on hardwood, which the business steamer wouldn’t!

      What I like–I trust Oreck brand. I like the fact that is has a long cord (16 feet). I like that you can use your own household towels to save money. I like that I wouldn’t have to buy floor cleaner any more!

      I like that it works on sealed hardwood floors. Our hardwood floors are very old, and I’d love to see how the Oreck Steam-It would make them look. And with young kids, I also like that it doesn’t use chemicals!

      I love the fact that it is dry immediately after your done. With the mop and bucket, my floors stay wet for awhile and the kids always need in the kitchen as soon as I’m done. (I think they like to slip and slide on the floor.)

      I would LOVE to win this! I just moved into a new place in December, and our floors are all wood and linoleum, and its a pain in the butt to keep clean. I like that the Steam-It has a vapor chamber that uses water to make steam to clean rather than harsh chemicals! I also like that you can machine wash the cleaning pads. Thanks!!

      Since I would give this to my daughter to use in keeping her home clean for her day care, I like that it dries so rapidly. That would make it much more likely to be used for quick cleanups, which can be very necessary with kids around!

      I love the fact that you can use it for above floor cleaning. My whole house needs this! And I love the fact that the pads are reusable, so you do not have to continually buy new pads! With my tight budget this is a wonderful feature. Too funny when George said he would recommend it to all his friends at work! His facial expression after that is classic! lol

      I love KILLING germs with steam (tap water) and I see you have the same faux wood floors I have…they are IMPOSSIBLE to clean with a mop, unless you come behind and dry them. They show every streak and water droplet otherwise….LOVE TO WIN =)

      One of the main features I like about the Oreck Steam-It is that it cleans without chemicals. We recently replaced our carpeting with wood laminate prior to getting our (three) puppies and don’t want a cleaning product that may damage the flooring or endanger the ‘kids.’ 🙂

      For over a year now we have been living a very “Green” lifestyle. In order to “green up our act” we have made many changes to the way we live our life and the products that we use. I am only using natural home cleaning products that are safe and healthy for my family and friendly and kind to the environment. What I love about this Oreck Steam It is the fact that it does not require any harsh chemicals. I love that it cleans using Steam and ordinary tap water, now that is very cool! With 3 young children all under the age of 10, 2 dogs and my husband and parents all under our roof, I clean everyday. I would love to add this gem to my cleaning arsenal!       I run a daycare in my home, so I am always drawn towards anything that cleans well and doesn’t use chemicals. With 4 kids just over 2, a husband who comes home caked in mud, and a cat that likes to get into everything, the Oreck Steam would cover all my bases! I can’t even believe that this product works so well, and that’s just in the video. I have always been skeptical of ads like this, but this……there are no words to describe how perfect the Oreck Steam is for me. I am happy to be given the chance to win a gem like this.
