I don’t know about you, but I think there is too much BAD NEWS in the world. I’d like to explore a new possibility on The Mommy-Files – TELL YOUR GOOD NEWS TUESDAY!
Whether it has to do with work, your kids, your spouse, your parents, something you saw, etc., etc., etc., post your GOOD NEWS here and let’s talk about the good things in our lives!
What is your good news for the week?
The Governor of PA went to Haiti yesterday and is bringing back 53 orphans to be adopted in the states. I heard a wonderful live interview of him this morning while he is in transit back to Pitssburgh. He spoke GLOWINGLY of what the US military is doing at the Port Au Prince airport (sitting in the middle of the airport with a table and paper and pencils and flags directing the air traffic).
Speaking of adoption…some good news is my co-worker received a call a few days after Christmas that her file was being looked at after a year on the waiting list. Three days later her and her husband drove four hours to pick up their beautiful, new baby boy. I am estatic for them! They will be great parents.
My dear friend who moved 2 years ago across the country is coming TODAY to visit my family for 4 days! YEAH!
i’m uncluttering my house slowly and had a flash this morning about what to do with all my old hideous prom dresses and dance costumes… i’m donating them to my old high school’s theater program!
I don’t have anything too major. I did get a mound of laundry done and let me tell you today that brings happiness!
My kids have not fought with each other yet today! Instead–wait for it–they’ve been PLAYING together!
My kids are off from school this Friday. I will get to spend a wonderful day with them!
I got one crossword puzzle and two sudoku puzzles done Sunday.
I know.. not much, but I got to be lazy. Uber lazy… I love days like that, the toddler girls napped for three hours, played in the comfortable weather finding treasures in the backyard, it was wonderful!
My supply came back up after a week of low volume. I don’t have to give up pumping. Yea!!!
We set up the bunk bed for the boys and Sam has his own crib now. All we have to do is get Sam to sleep through the night now 🙂
One day after I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and feeling pretty good. HURRAY for no complications.
good news…hmmm…this is benchmark week at my daughters school that means NO HOMEWORK!

I love this! My good news is that we had a dry day yesterday and my little gal rode her bike for 2 hours yesterday. She’s talking about getting rid of the training wheels. It’s been raining a lot here (Oregon) so it was so nice to get outside and play, play, play!
What a neat idea! I have 2 Amazing, great, fantastic, fabulous (all that good stuff) *good news* things happen to me.
ONE: I finally got some sleep last night (yaaaaay) I suffer with mild insomnia.
TWO: I posted my very first giveaway!! So naturally I’m very excited 🙂
I’m sure something neat happened with my kids, but right now those two things have about made my day 😀
My 2 yr. old is one day closer to being potty trained!
Just got back from spending a great weekend with Family!! It was FUN!!

This is such a wonderful idea. I really needed it today.
My good news: my son is almost potty trained. He’s had a few setbacks but overall is doing well.
My freshman college student son’s spring semester classes started today! Yea! Does that mean it’s almost spring? I wish, but it will be before we know it!
My good news it has warmed up here, the snow is melting and I can see grass in a few spots. I am so tired of the snow, so this is good news for me.
I GOT A JOB!!!!!!
I’ve been unemployed for a year and a half…..
YAY ME!!!!!
I was able to go out with the girls tonight and have my first experience at the Olive Garden!!
Tuesday I took my first crochet class. This is something I’ve always wanted to learn to do, and finally as a grown up I’m doing it.
My hubby got a new computer to replace the one that died, and we set it up without a single problem. It works and we didn’t have to call tech support – WooHoo!!
