I had the opportunity to review “90210: The Complete First Season” on DVD. When I signed up for it, I originally thought it was the original 90210, however, it was actually a new 90210. The DVD was released on August 4th, 2009.

I thought the show was nothing like the high school life I experienced, but it was mostly fun to watch. I liked that the main family in the show had good intentions of teaching their kids integrity and honesty while in the midst of temptation, money, and controversy. This has a PG-13 rating easily! I also enjoyed the appearance from some of the characters from the original show, including Brenda and Kelly from the original 90210 show. Plus, Jason Priestley (Brandon) is one of the directors.

There were a few things I didn’t like about the show. I was annoyed by how lax the show was about the topic of sex and related situations. I wish they would have promoted abstinence more than experiencing it for the first time in high school. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my kids having sex in high school (and would rather they wait until they’re married).
