"THE SOLOIST" DVD Review & Giveaway
I recently had the opportunity to watch a great movie called “The Soloist,” starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx. Both did an awesome job in this movie and I definitely recommend it to you to watch when it comes out. “The Soloist
” will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 by Paramount Home Entertainment.
“The Soloist” is an inspirational true story based on the best-selling book by Los Angeles Times journalist Steve Lopez. It’s a moving and emotional story about the power of friendship and how it transforms people. Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.) is a Los Angeles Times journalist who discovers Nathaniel Anthony Ayers (Jamie Foxx), a former classical music prodigy now living on the streets of Los Angeles. He first sees Ayers playing his violin on the street and as time goes by, Lopez tries to help Ayers find his way back to music. They develop a bond that is powerful and inspiring! In my opinion, this is a must-see movie!
THE SOLOIST DVD and Blu-ray presentations include commentary by director Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride & Prejudice), “An Unlikely Friendship: Making The Soloist”, “Kindness, Courtesy and Respect: Mr. Ayers + Mr. Lopez”, “One Size Does Not Fit All: Addressing Homelessness in Los Angeles” and deleted scenes.
