Motorcycling is a great adventure perfect for warm spring or summer days. If you’re an avid biker, then you’ll enjoy riding one of the most iconic places: the West Coast of America. And for those who don’t know, the West Coast has some of the most scenic routes that are definitely explored with a motorbike. Besides, exploring certain routes will help you remain more organized and save gas while on the road, as you won’t be roaming too much. So if you’re planning to hop on a motorbike this summer, here are some of the most scenic West Coast routes.

Pacific Coast Highway 1 (655 miles)

This highway is one of the oldest in America, which is why it deserves your attention. It is also gorgeous and offers stunning views that you can admire all while you’re riding your motorbike. The best place to start is Santa Cruz and San Francisco where you can drive across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, and use these places as the starting points for your adventure.

Montezuma Valley Road (13 miles)

If the first option seems like a lot if you’re new to cruising, then Montezuma Valley Road will be a better option. It’s one of the favorite spots for bikers, due to its sharp curve that keeps the ride fun and challenging. Feel free to consider getting one of the Hyper motorcycles for better performances and more self-confidence whilst on the road. Montezuma Valley has a lot of panoramic views from above the desert floor, as well as a beautiful rocky landscape that will make you feel like you’re on another planet.

Redwood Ride (123 miles)

There’s something truly beautiful about the Pacific Coast, and Redwood Ride is one of the hidden gems that every biker will appreciate and enjoy. You’ll be greeted by the breathtaking ocean view as you cruise down the Redwood Ride on a hot summer day. And when you pair this with the clear blue skies above you, you’ve gotten yourself a great recipe for an outdoor summer adventure on a motorbike.

Palomar Mountain Loop (30 miles)

Riding the bike along the mountain roads is a unique experience. If you have the chance, make sure to do it at least once in a lifetime. Palomar Mountain Loop is located near Highway 76 through Pauma Valley. The ride leading there is diverse and features rocky ledges, forests, and beautiful scenic views. And once you reach the far east part of the ride, you’ll be able to see a beautiful view of Lake Henshaw Overlook, which is a stunning body of water, spanning more than 1000 acres, right at the base of the mountain.

Dante’s View Road (13 miles)

Another short route on this list, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do there. On the contrary, Dante’s View Road is located 140 miles away from Las Vegas, and it offers some of the most scenic views of Death Valley. The ride there is absolutely stunning, all across the Owlshead Mountains, Furnace Creek, Funeral Mountains and Badwater Basin. The ride is magnificent and scenic, so if you’re a fan of majestic lookouts then Dante’s View Road should definitely be on your itinerary, especially if you’re already in the area.

Highway 74 (50 miles)

Driving east on Highway 74, from Helmet, California is a trip of a lifetime, since this route is easy and also gorgeous. The start of the route is surrounded by trees of San Bernardino National Forest, and as you drive, you’ll encounter sandy, desert dunes located in Palm Desert. If you’re a fan of arid landscapes and enjoy riding along various altitudes, then Highway 74 is the right place for you. Those who love their pets and can’t separate from them often find it hard to embark on an adventure of any kind that doesn’t include them. Highway 74 also has a dog-friendly eatery called Paradise Valley Café that has been known to welcome bikers and hikers.

Conclusion

Motorcycle routes are perfect if you enjoy biking and exploring beautiful landscapes and scenic views. The West Coast is iconic and deserves to be visited. If you enjoy riding and roaming around, then exploring these routes will be a great opportunity for adventure.
