Today, on Redhead Mom, I’m sharing a partnered blog post about 5 Tips for Selling Your Home.

Selling Your Home

Buying a house can be both exciting and stressful, but selling your home can be exciting and even more stressful than buying, depending on the circumstances. Once you get into the mode of putting your home up for sale, you just need to stick with it and see it to the end. Hopefully, with a few of these helpful tips, your home selling experience can be a little less stressful.

1 – Research realtors. There are a LOT of realtors and real estate agents out there who would love a piece of the commission from the sale of your home. You want one who will work for you, helping to ease the burden of the entire sale process. Thankfully, technology and the internet make it a lot easier than it used to be to do your research on realtors in the area in which you live, you can just simply type “real estate agents near me“. A few you might want to check out (depending on where you live) include BluMortgage, Truvizo, and Soldier to Soldier Hawaii Realty.

2 – Consider creating a video tour. With the COVID-19 pandemic still happening, you may want to consider cancelling out the idea of open houses and going with a video tour instead. Prospective buyers can take a tour of your home virtually instead of actually coming inside for an open house. There are many MLS sites that will let your agent upload the video tour with photos. This will increase the views your home has and will help prospective buyers have a better idea of whether the home will be a good fit for them or not. This will help eliminate unnecessary viewings of people who don’t think your house will be a good fit for them. You can find a variety homes around the United States, but it’s quick to sell your house today in St. Louis.

3 – Clean your house before and after any showings. With COVID-19, you’ll want to keep your home a safe environment for both your family (if you’re still living there) and anyone who might come by to view the home. Having hand sanitizers and disinfecting wipes on hand would be a good idea as well. 4 – Repair your home and stage it properly. While there are a lot of times that a house must be listed for sale with residents inside, it will grab more attention if it is staged to sell. This could include couches, curtains, and other pieces of decor (i.e., vases, paintings, etc.). If you would like to stage your home to make it look perfect for any family, consider buying some flowers and paintings to hang up, this is perfect to set an image in the buyers home.

This is also a great time to take on home repair or improvement projects. You may conduct a roof repair or replacement, or start an interior painting project. You might also need new timber roof trusses if you’re replacing your roofing system. Hiring a professional residential roofing contractor is recommended if any type of roofing work is required in your property.

5 – Use videoconferencing and digital signing. In this day and age, we have an abundant amount of resources at our fingertips when it comes to technology. Take advantage of videoconferencing to negotiate price and other agreements when trying to close the deal. Once it comes time to sign paperwork, you can choose from a number of digital signing programs. It’s amazing how much less of a burden document signing can be with digital signing.

Once you’ve sold your home, sit back, relax, and take a long deep breath. You made it! Congratulations!
