  1. Yes, this sounds like my mantra. Except my son cannot hear the itch of my voice! You would know that from all the clothes strewn about in his room, but he loves his looks, so while he doesn’t clean his rom, he always cleans his face before bed. Better than nothing I guess!

  2. I wish I could get into the declutter habit. I am so freakin busy with work, my kids’ academic practices and my volunteer stuff that I have trouble finding time to do anything else!

I think decluttering once a month is a great idea. I was just looking in my closet and thinking I need to get rid of some stuff I never wear. If I did that monthly it would make my life easier!

  4. I have such a hard time keeping my house clean. We have a dog that likes to bring her in by the truckload and then kids and family are here. I will definitely try a few these tips to see if they can help.

  5. I think these are all great ideas. I do most of these every day too. I need to work on doing the dishes each night though. I don’t always do them every day.

  6. These are some great and simple tips to keep your home clean and tidy. I know that I can’t make my bed, for one I don’t own one yet, we have only an air mattress after being homeless. BUT I am big on washing dishes while I cook dinner so the kitchen feels more clean and tidy all of the time.

  7. I am a beast when the house is a mess. Clean as you go has always been my mantra. If you see a dirty dish when you’re walking by, take it to the sink, even if it isn’t yours. Thankfully, my family is pretty good about picking up after themselves, so we don’t have an unkempt house too often.

  8. My husband is Canadian and was so surprised how many folks in the United States wear shoes in the house. It wasn’t something I thought much about until he pointed it out. Now I try to wear a separate pair of shoes for in the house only, and keep the rest for outside the house!

  9. We have been decluttering so much lately. Less stuff is the way to go! I’m sick of the STUFF everywhere. Makes sense to have dishes put away before bed too.

  10. I keep my cleaning supplies in an area where they are supposed to be used. It does save me a lot of time. I also make sure there are no dirty dishes in the sink before I go to bed. Leaving dirty dishes are like an open invite for pests to come in the house.
