I love my job! In fact, I’ve been doing it for 10 years (not always full-time, but currently full-time). I love taking pictures and writing and sharing about our experiences with different brands and products, as well as different places we visit and things we do as a blended family. Not to mention our farm animals now too!
I started my blog in 2008. I was looking for a way to connect with my family and friends who lived far away, as well as find validation in my life. I was in a rough place and it helped me realize my potential as both a mom and a woman. I started writing about being a stay-at-home mom and this eventually grew into adding my thoughts about products and brands I loved and then into different partnerships and opportunities with brands I loved! Not to mention some of the awesome places I’ve traveled to and actors and actresses I’ve had the chance to meet! I still love writing on my blog and sharing on social media as much today as the day I started.
While my blogs has given me lots of opportunities to connect with brands and share about the things I love (or don’t love), it has also given me a way to connect with other bloggers, moms and women out there (possibly even men too)! We matter and we all have a story to tell. We have all gone through experiences and challenges in life that have helped shaped us into the people we are today. We can help one another, inspire one another and uplift one another. Sometimes it’s through a personal blog post or social media share. Sometimes it’s through kind words. Other times, it may be as simple as a smile or a kind act, such as opening the door for someone.
I want to say a huge thank you to those readers who have followed my story over the years and been there through the big changes in my life. I look forward to another 10 years (and more) with you all!
