The Mommy-Files is Now Redhead Mom!

It’s so hard to believe that I’m going on 9 years of blogging now. I started my blog in July of 2008. It was my outlet to connecting with other stay-at-home moms who had babies at home. I’ve always loved to write, but never imagined making a career out of it. Heck, when I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor and then a teacher, but I became a blogger and mom! I love my job! I never imagined having a blog called Redhead Mom.

After doing some research, talking to other bloggers and dragging my feet a little bit, I decided to embrace my life as a Redhead Mom. Part of embracing my life as a Redhead Mom was rebranding my blog from The Mommy-Files to Redhead Mom. It’s been quite a process, but I am definitely excited for the potential and hope to keep my loyal followers, as well as gain new ones.

Not only will I be sharing about our present life and activities as a blended family of 8 (yep just like the Brady Bunch with 6 kids), but I will also be sharing about some of those activities and things from my past that never quite made it on the blog. I hope that you’ll come along with us for the ride.

I am fascinated by your courage. I don’t know if I would be able to become another “Brady Bunch”! So I would like to read more about your life.

  2. I like to see how others live day to day with everyday occurrences. Recipes and hints about doing everyday tasks to make them easier are greatly appreciated.

I always like more personal care tips, because there is always something that we need to know about our skin, teeth, and other areas.

  4. Mary Beth Elderton

Two of my favorite hobbies are giveaways and recipes 🙂 I also like personal posts—it makes me feel connected.

  5. I’d like to hear more about toys and outdoor activities. I learned that the balance bikes were a great way to teach kids to ride a real bike, which didn’t make sense to me, but when I talked to a physical therapist she agreed. I love info like that.

My favorite type of posts are giveaways and budget decorating so that is what I would love to see on your blog.

I would like to see lots of reviews of products, giveaways, kid friendly recipes, tips with kids (esp. mouthy as they get older seems to be my problem over here!), and crafts with kids.

  8. I’m a giveaway junkie so I like seeing your giveaways.
I’ve been following you for years and will have to get used to the new (and very apt) name.
    Thanks for the contest.

    1. I was very pleased to see that the name change did not affect the links so I’m still signed up for all your different ways.

I love health issues (tips and stories), recipes, travel tips/stories, giveaways and more giveaways!
