It’s summertime – woo hoo! What does that mean in our home? That means lots of free time for the kids. With all their electronics today (ya know the tablets, laptops, PS3, Nintendo 3DS), our kids would like to think that they could keep pretty busy during the summer. However, as a parent, we’d like to see them get outdoors, use their imagination and get active. Here are 4 things kids can do to have fun outdoors?
1 – Swimming. We have a membership to our local community pool and the kids love it! Not only can they do cannonballs and swim, but they can enjoy the hot tub too!
2 – Sidewalk chalk. Our kids love to draw and what better way than to have them draw “big” on the sidewalk or driveway. Let them get creative and display their art for the whole neighborhood to enjoy!
3 – Water balloons. I remember loving water balloons when I was a kid. Not only is it fun to fill them up, but to throw them and watch them pop on others. Not to mention how much fun (and wet) it is when they pop on you!
