Color Obstacle Rush Preview & GIVEAWAY
For the last few years I’ve slowly transitioned into a runner. Do I love to run? No. Well, not when I’m running, but I like the feeling of accomplishment when I’m done. Typically, I try to run a few times a week usually completing 3-mile runs. But running tends to get boring. That’s why I really enjoy these fun runs that come through town. So far, I’ve done a mud run, and a few color runs. But I am so excited for the Color Obstacle Rush! You cannot go wrong with inflatable obstacles while getting bombed with color – it’s the best of both worlds! Oh, and did I mention that there will be foam too!!!
9 color stations + 10 obstacles!!! The Color Obstacle Rush combines the best of color powdered running and a variety of fun obstacles along the way, including giant inflatable slides, bouncy castles, foam, gladiators, climbing nets and plenty of surprises along your 5k journey to the finish!
The Color Obstacle Rush is traveling the US, United Kingdom, and Finland. For those of you on the California Central Coast The Color Obstacle Rush will be at the Santa Maria Raceway on Saturday, May 30th. You can go here to register for this event.

Do you know of any such events happening in Minnesota?
Melissa, right now they’re only slated for 3 US cities. Get on their mailing list so they can keep you updated on newly listed runs.
I often find new runs by going to http://www.Active.com who will give you a list of local runs throughout the year.
Hi Caroline! I live in Orcutt and that sounds like a blast! I have my first virtual race coming up (needed flexibility, I’ve already run 5 and 10k distances but haven’t set out on purpose to race) and I walk and run to get in better shape/lose baby weight. I know I’d have the endurance to go the distance but I have no experience with rope climbing or obstacle courses. Is this kind of thing something a novice could do? Would love to meet other local moms who run; we moved back to the Central Coast from Kauai to care for my inlaws and I need to get out of the house lol.
Hi Gena! This run is for any and everyone. Shannon hasn’t done anything like this, so I know she’s not expecting to run the whole thing. Going from obstacle to obstacle is a nice time to walk and collect your breath. Plus this isn’t a timed run – it’s a fun run! Would love for you to join us! Welcome to the Central Coast 🙂
