I am in love with the new Peter Som DesigNation Collection available now at Kohl’s.  In fact, I had been eyeing a certain Striped Maxi Dress for quite some time and, thanks to Mom Central and Kohl’s, I have it hanging in my closet – ready to wear on our May cruise.  In fact, I even wore it on Easter Day for dinner (after cooking of course)!

Earlier this week, I headed to Kohl’s to pick up an outfit from the Peter Som DesigNation Collection.  I was so excited when I saw the Peter Som Striped Maxi Dress in my size!!!!  I grabbed it off the rack and headed to the Fitting Room.  When I put it on, it was a perfect fit!  Next stop was the jewelry department to find earrings, bracelets and a necklace to go with my dress.

I found a Croft and Barrow Set that included dangling earrings and a multi strand necklace.  The colors on the earrings and necklace seemed like they were made to go with this gorgeous dress.  It was a perfect match!  I also found a colorful set of three Croft and Barrow bracelets.  Not only was my jewelry a perfect fit with the dress, but they were on sale too!!!

After finding the jewelry, I headed over to the shoe department to find a pair of shoes to go with the dress.  I wasn’t sure if I was going to pick out sandals, flats or wedges, but when I saw these wedges, I knew they were perfect!  The Lauren Conrad Platform Wedge Sandals not only went great with the dress, but they were so comfortable…and on sale!  Woot woot!  Sales everywhere!

I am so excited to take this dress with us on our cruise in May!  Not only is it cute, but it’s pretty sexy too (with the chiffon-striped panels on the hem).  Frank’s eyes got pretty big when he saw me walk into the kitchen with the dress on!  Hee hee – I love it when I wear an outfit he finds me attractive in!

I love that I can change up my Peter Som Striped Maxi Dress look while on the cruise.  For a more elegant look, I simply add the necklace, earrings and bracelets, as well as the wedges.  If I want a more casual look, I wear the earrings and necklace (less the bracelets) and my flip flops.  If it starts to get chilly, I put on my 3/4 sleeve cardigan.  Plus, I can change up my look a little more by changing from a ponytail to my hair down.
