I want something with good, consistent reception and a easy-to-use answering machine that I can retrieve messages remotely.

  6. Definitely the ECO Mode power-conserving technology because I hate when my phone’s charge doesn’t last.

  7. I look for a phone that is easy to use and possibly has a child lock of some kind – my kids are always accidentally calling people!

  10. one great feature has to be a good battery life. We lose our phones in the chair or couch or various other spots and by the time we find it ringing, it is near dead or dies shortly after an answer. The eco battery save on this phone system would be great! I also find Vtech phones have good volume control which I need with some hearing loss from illness.

An important feature I would look for in a landline phone is the distance the handset will carry from the base. Managing a motel often finds me out cleaning the rooms, in the laundry room, pulling weeds, etc…. Currently I transfer the motel to my cell phone b/c the cheap system that the owner has set up won’t reach far enough. I’d love to free up my cell (for personal calls) and win this V-Tech system.

  12. I need a phone that has a clear connection, not a lot of static. And one that has a pleasant ring. And that doesn’t take long to charge.
