6 Amazing Health Benefits of Japan’s New Seaweed
Originating from the coasts of Japan, Fucoidan is currently one of the hottest commodities on the market. But why is this brown seaweed being touted as one of nature’s best-kept secrets? Here are six of the remarkable benefits that you’ll enjoy from just one serving a day.
1: It Helps You Lose Weight
Crushed seaweed has become one of the go-to ingredients for diet pills and weight loss supplements. Not only does it increase your metabolic rate, but it’s believed to expand in the stomach after interacting with natural acids, making you feel fuller for longer periods of time.
2: It Gives You Energy
Consumers report feeling much more energized after taking just a few hundred milligrams of capsuled seaweed. Even better, seaweed is organic and all-natural, free of the jitters that usually accompany caffeine and other stimulants.
3: It Protects You From Brain Tumors
Seaweed has been shown to stop hyperplasia in rabbits and rats, which is a rapid reproduction of cells capable of growing brain tumors. While no clinical trials have been conducted with seaweed and humans, it stands to reason that something in its composition can affect mammals for the better.
4: It Boosts Your Immune System
Seaweed induces the natural creation of white blood cells, particularly interferon and interleukin, which are the heavy hitters responsible for fighting off autoimmune disease. There’s also the possibility that it can weaken existing colds by controlling immunomodulating activity.
5: It Improves Your Memory
Tired of always forgetting your wallet? Improve your long-term and spatial memory by strengthening the receptors of your hippocampus’ astrocytes. It may sound like gibberish, but it’s a very real benefit of taking seaweed, and everyone from students to business owners are currently reaping the effects.
6: It Lessens Seasonal Allergies
If you spend the better part of spring with your face in a wad of tissues, you might be interested to know that seaweed can put a cap on your allergies. It stops the production of mucus, meaning less trickles in your throat and fewer sneezes, and it also soothes your sinuses, drying your watery eyes and opening your nose to the wonderful fragrances of the new season.
When it comes to regulating your health, boosting your immune system and fighting off the advancement of disease, brown seaweed may very be a miracle drug. Try it today to see what it can do for you.
