Hungry Jack Breakfast

Fall is here and the smell of cinnamon, pumpkin and other spices is in the air.  I remember how much I loved waking up to the smell of breakfast cooking in the morning when I was a kid.  Ok, so I still do love waking up to the smell of breakfast cooking as an adult.  I’m excited to share with you the new Fall flavors that Hungry Jack has available to turn your family meal into a Weekend Breakfast Celebration and of course, be sure to check the Griddle Blog as well, you’ll find the best griddle to make the perfect pancakes!

As a member of the Hungry Jack Weekend Breakfast Brigade, I received a variety of products to cook up for our family.  Oh my gosh, they have an amazing Fall line of products that both smell heavenly when cooking and leave your tastebuds wanting more.  I recently cooked up the Pumpkin Spice pancakes for my family and served them with whipped cream.  I was a little nervous thinking the kids wouldn’t want something different than their normal everyday pancakes, but boy, was I wrong!  They loved them and we ended up eating ALL of the Pumpkin Spice Pancakes!

Halloween 2013

This past week was Halloween and I decided I wanted to make the boys’ Halloween this year extra special!  I whipped up some Hungry Jack Halloween Pancakes that had orange and black sprinkles inside of them.  The boys thought it was a special treat to have Halloween Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs and Sausage for breakfast on a school day!  That’s how I made a weekday special, but how do we make the weekends special?

3 ways we Celebrate Our Weekend Breakfast:

1 – Get the kids involved.  Our kids love to help cook breakfast.  Depending on the age, it could be as easy as mixing the pancake batter in the bowl or scrambling the eggs.  The kids get so excited when we introduce the dishes and them as the chefs of the dishes.  Not only does it build family bonds, but it teaches them responsibility and how to cook!

2 – Make lots of food!  You’ll be sure to keep everyone happy at the breakfast table with lots of yummy food.  Plus, if you make too much, you can always use leftovers to make pancake sandwiches, omelets and more!

3 – Talk about your weekend plans.  One of the things the kids love to do is have a say in what we will be doing during the weekend.  This could involve crafts (such as making paper airplanes or puppets), baking, going on a family walk, going to a movie and more.

Are you ready to enjoy your Weekend Breakfast Celebration with Hungry Jack?  You can enter to win a fabulous Hungry Jack prize pack!
