I’m Going to Mom 2.0 Summit! Are You Going?

I have been blogging now for almost five years at The Mommy-Files and this will be my third big conference I’ve attended, but my first time to Mom 2.0 Summit!  Yeah – that is less than 1 conference a year!  However, 2 out of the 3 conferences I paid for myself (that’s right – NO sponsors)!  But now that I am working on my site full time, I expect the number of conferences I attend each year to go up.  I’ve been to BlogHer ’11 in San Diego, BlogHer Pro ’12 in San Francisco, and am now going to Mom 2.0 Summit in Laguna Niguel.  I am so excited!!!! Since I am going to be meeting up with some of my friends near by we planned on going on guided women tours after the conference to relax a little bit and get away from work before we have to go back.



#1 – Networking!  Social media is all about networking and sharing thoughts and information via word of mouth.  As a mom, I find myself doing that a lot with family, friends, and my readers!  People want to know what I really think about products, services, and brands and whether I would purchase from them again as well as how they fit into our family life and home.


#2 – Meet with Brands!  I have only been to one other conference where I met with the brands and am super excited to meet some more of my favorite brands at Mom 2.0 Summit!  At Mom 2.0 Summit, I’ll have the opportunity to attend some events with Tree Top, Whirlpool, Dove, Honda, SeaPak Shrimp, Farm Rich, CVS/Pharmacy, Kidde Safety, Disneyland, Whirlpool and Lowes.

#3 – Meet Blogging Friends in Real Life!  While this is much like networking, it is also different.  At these conferences, I get to meet up with some of my amazing online friends in real life.  It is so neat to see these different bloggers (men and women) and connect with them face to face.  Not to mention the memories we make together at the conference!

#4 – The Opportunity to Travel!  While all of the conferences I have been to have been located in my home state of California, I do know of bloggers who had the opportunity to travel to different cities and states for the conferences.  These included New York City, Chicago, Orlando, and many other places.

  2. Being from Canada it is pretty hard to get out to the US conferences because the travel is so expensive, but one of these days I would like too.
    I have had the opportunity to speak and attend numerous conferences in Canada though – and you are right, the networking is awesome!

    Out of all the upcoming conferences, this is the 1 I would have given my arm (or pinky toe) to go to!! I’ve heard it’s extremely more ‘professional’ and the take away is amazing! Course, the views there aren’t too shabby either!! Have fun and learn LOTS!!
