Do You Have Dental Insurance?
It was a few months back that I thought I had a piece of popcorn in my tooth. I remember feeling it with my tongue and thinking something was wrong. Then the pain started. I had never had tooth pain like that before while using invisalign. I called up my dentist and made an appointment. Thankfully, I had dental insurance at the time.
I went to our family dentist and they took x-rays. Part of the tooth, or what was probably a filling, had broken off and the inside of the tooth was decaying. They gave me some antibiotics and scheduled me to come in a week later to see if I was going to need dental implants for the decaying tooth or not. I couldn’t wait to get it fixed! When I went in, they told me that may end up needing to do a root canal. This would be the first time I’d ever had that done. It would cost around $3,000 without insurance. Yikes!
If I didn’t have dental insurance, I wouldn’t have been able to afford that and would have been in pain and discomfort. It’s amazing how much something as simple as dental insurance can make such a huge impact on one’s life. If you don’t have dental insurance right now, I highly recommend you head over to DentalInsurance.com and get a few quotes for the best plan for you and your family today!
