Tailgating with Frito-Lay + Giveaway

Football season is here and fans everywhere are having a blast hosting parties and tailgating in celebration of their favorite football teams.  After all, it’s a fact nobody can deny: American Football is one of the most celebrated sports in the United States.  During this time of year, you’ll start seeing more barbecue grills than you could ever imagine, faces painted in numerous shades, rivalries bringing out jerseys and team spirit in everyone and more!

As a newbie to tailgating, I’m not even sure where to start – well, I know to start with snacks that everyone loves, but where do I go from there?  Thanks to Frito-Lay, I had the opportunity to ask Frito-Lay Kitchen Kings Executive Chef Stephen Kalil and Chef Jody Denton about some of their favorite tailgating tips.  Check out the video below and see what they had to say!

There was some great information offered in that video.  Not to mention the yummy products you’ll find at Frito-Lay anyways!  Now is your chance to win the ultimate tailgating prize pack (value of $75 to $100) from Frito-Lay!

I love the tip to put water bottles in the cooler to help keep things cool and putting thing in disposable containers so you don’t have to worry about going home and cleaning up

Sorry I had to have 2 twitter accts because I could not follow anymore! 🙂

  3. I like his tips about keeping food cool in the heat. Frozen water bottles are a great idea!
I like the idea of adding Ruffles to Quesadillas

  4. I like the ideas of how to keep things cold with frozen water bottles, putting everything in sealed plastic bags and making and prepping things ahead of time.

  5. I think one tip that was very smart was to put foil between the food and the grill, like for a quesodilla! Smart!

    Thanks!

  6. I had to laugh about making sure your grill is big enough for everything you’re cooking. I got SO busted on that one time when i had a grillout and kept adding on different things including ribs. What a disaster, the food wasn’t ready at the same time. they speak truth.

  7. Well I love the idea of quesadillas on the grill. It’s something my whole family likes so this would be an easy choice. Not so sure about adding Ruffles to them LOL

  8. Grilling a chicken quesadilla with foil underneath and butter underneath the tortilla portion. I didn’t think of using butter to help it not stick to the foil.

  9. I love the idea with the butter so items don’t stick, I wonder if this would work on other things I wrap in tinfoil?
