“Mother and Child” DVD Giveaway

On December 14th, 2010, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing Mother and Child on DVD!  The film stars Naomi Watts, Annette Bening, and Kerry Washington and is rated R.  The DVD will be available for purchase in stores and online, retailing for $28.95.

DVD SYNOPSIS:

From writer-director Rodrigo Garcia (TV’s “Big Love,” “Nine Lives”) and executive producer Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (“Babel”) comes the moving story of three women and the power of the unbreakable bond between mother and child.  Three women’s lives share a common core: they have all been profoundly affected by adoption.  Karen (Annette Bening) placed a baby for adoption at age 14 and has been haunted ever since by the daughter she never knew.  Elizabeth (Naomi Watts) grew up as an adopted child; she’s a bright and ambitious lawyer, but a flinty loner in her personal life.  Lucy (Kerry Washington) and her husband are just embarking on the adoption odyssey, hoping for the opportunity to become parents.

  1. A benefit of adoption is that a child has a chance of having a happy home and parents who love them.

  2. Everyone has given such wonderful benefits of adoption but I am going to go with the physical…no labor pain. (But, I remember my labor fondly even though it was all in my back.)

  3. A benefit of adoption is that a child has life! They have the opportunity to live a full, happy life.

  5. One benefit of adoption is being able to give a child a loving home or providing parents who cannot have children the ability to have a family.

  6. a benefit to adoption would be that it gives a child a family and a life that would other wise deal with them being put in a foster home also it gives the adoptive parents some one to love so it is a win win situation

    thanks for the chance

  7. I think adoption is great. My husband is adopted, just by his grandparents, but adopted just the same, kinda. Lol. We have some friends who are not going to be able to have children of their own and are getting ready to start the adoption process and I think it’s wonderful that it exists. Children who have no one get matched up with people who desperately want a child. In a perfect world all parents would want their children but we definitely don’t live in a perfect world so having adoption is the next best thing.

  8. A benefit of adoption is that it provides a loving home and family to a child who might not have otherwise had them, and it gives parents who cannot conceive the ability to have children of their own, so in many ways the mutual bond that forms is just as strong as the one that forms between parents and their biological children.

  9. Adoption has so many benefits. The biggest is you are completing your family and giving a new start to a child who needs one.

I see a major benefit in giving the child a stable life rather than shuffling around through the foster care system

Thank you for hosting this giveaway

  11. my sister and brother were adopted. our parents gave them a home that they never would have had with their biological parents. adoption has many benefits both to the children and to the parents.
