The Mickey Mote With “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and “Handy Manny”

On November 16th, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released a fun product called a “Mickey Mote.”  Once you have it programmed, your kids will have a blast interacting with the DVD.  The “Mickey Mote” is a child-friendly handheld remote control, shaped like Mickey’s ears, that will take children’s viewing experience to a whole new level of play.  The “Mickey Mote” provides hours of fun with engaging and challenging adventures for kids ages 2 to 5.

How It Works:

The Mickey Mote works with any Disney preschool DVD that includes Discovery Mode, the interactive “Watch & Play” feature on the DVD!  All parents have to do is program the remote control – there’s an easy and quick set-up guide in each DVD – and select the Discovery Mode feature on the menu screen.  Within minutes, kids will be easily responding to questions, throughout out the story, about scenes they just watched (such as “What color is Goofy’s hat?”) by pressing one of four color-coded buttons on the device to click in their responses.  The buttons include a yellow star, green circle, orange triangle, and blue square.  Discovery Mode features include two levels of play, which provides more challenging questions as the child grows.

MY THOUGHTS

My boys really enjoyed interacting with the Mickey Mote while they watched these featured Disney titles.  The Mickey Mote is easy to set up and the kids love to hold it and make selections when prompted by the DVD.  I look forward to more Disney titles that work with the Mickey Mote!  Thanks to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment for this opportunity!
