Johnsonville Tailgating Giveaway

I love Johnsonville Sausage! We are a huge fan of the breakfast sausage links, bratwurst, and Italian sausage products.  We cook up Johnsonville sausage all year long.  I’m also excited that Johnsonville is helping to sponsor The Mommy-Files to go to BlogHer in New York City this year!

This year, when you go tailgating at your favorite game, think of Johnsonville Sausage!  On their site, you can find tips, recipes, and coupons.  Simply visit Johnsonville’s home page and click on the Springville icon.  There is a whole section geared for your grill on Opening Day, including tailgating tips, recipes, and money-saving coupons.

You can also sign up for the Johnsonville Enthusiast Club, which gives you the latest news from Johnsonville, coupons, information on new products, and details on events in your area.  The Club is free and it’s easy to sign up for!

  5. We go to alot of the UNI games with friends (college games) our tailgating tip is this: if someone gets overly ‘happy’ with alcohol, we automatically take their car keys. We agree beforehand every time so when it happens (rarely but it has) the person who gets keys taken doesnt complain!

    Spicy Cracked Black Pepper Brats Ingredients
    •1 pkg. (19.76 oz.) Johnsonville® Brats

    •1 large onion, cut into 1/4-in. round slices
    •2 Tbsp. olive oil
    •1 medium green pepper
    •1 medium sweet red pepper
    •1 medium sweet yellow pepper
    •1 to 2 jalapeno peppers, optional
    •1 Tbsp. fresh cracked pepper
    •5 hoagie rolls, split

  9. Their recipe for Brat & Kraut Strudel looks delicious, and I like that they have an option of meals for $2 or less, when you’re sorting through their recipes!

  10. We already use the brat hot tub (got that from one of their commercials), but Cheesy Game Time Sausage Dip sounds like a great addition to the menu.

  11. Getting together with the gang for tailgates can be fun but also a lot of work, if you do it alone. Ask everyone to pitch in and bring something to the party. Have a Theme and bring some food that goes along with the theme…

  15. Prepare as much as possible ahead of time and package in individual servings. Don’t forget the salt, pepper, mustanrd, etc.
