I received a wonderful email from one of my readers.  She won The North Face Jacket in a giveaway not long ago on this site.  Her comment really touched me (I even shared it with my husband) and she gave me permission to use it in this post.  Here is what she said:

“I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I am to have been the winner of this giveaway! This was the greatest thing to happen to me in a long while. Last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30. Needless to say, what little money that I have goes towards medical expenses and caring for my daughter. I can no longer afford many luxuries that I was once able to and when I slipped on my new North Face jacket today, I actually felt normal. I want to extend my sincere thanks for that. You will never know how happy that you made me!!!

Thanks for all that you do..”

Congrats Darcie!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Thanks for being a special part of The Mommy-Files.  I hope The Mommy-Files is able to positively touch each person who visits in one way or another.

  10. Oh, that really touched my heart! I have to say I am also so grateful to all your great giveaways as well as other people’s giveaway blogs. We had some unforseen circumstances pop up right before Christmas so we didn’t have very much money to spend. Fortunately because of all my wins we were able to give everyone in our family really great gifts and my son was completely spoiled…and we didn’t spend a dime on him! Thanks for all the work you do (because I know how much time you do have to put into it) we really appreciate it!
