My Droid Arrived!
I’ve been without a cell phone for a few weeks. We (or I should say I) lost it somewhere. NO idea where? When I realized it was gone, I dialed it and of course it went straight to voicemail. I remembered that it was almost dead the last time I used it. I searched everywhere for it but ended in failure.
I was planning on purchasing the Droid around the time of BlogHer but not any sooner. Then I lost my phone. Go figure! After a week of debating on replacing my old phone or purchasing a new one, we decided to purchase the Droid. With it comes a renewed 2 year contract, but all of our family and friends are on Verizon, so it was an easy decision.
Yesterday, FedEx delivered the box. I didn’t open it until later in the afternoon. I activated and charged it and George played with it all night long – lol! He has apps already set up on it, but I have yet to figure out how to use it – lol! He can look at things like this and just figure them out. I have to read the manual (or parts of it) – grrr!
I’m so excited to be able to use the Wi-Fi feature anywhere I want – like I’m not on the computer enough, right? George says it’s the all-time best and coolest phone of all phones out there! More to come on the Motorola Droid Phone!
I did not receive product nor compensation for writing this post. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% mine.
I’m sorry you lost your old phone and ended up having to buy a new phone before planned – but on the bright side; you have the phone that I’ve been wanting for months. 🙂
Sounds exciting!! I hope you learn to use it soon 🙂 and ENJOY it!!
Funny thing after I read this I checked my e-mail and their was a confirmation e-mail from Verizon for a Droid. Apparently my husband is ready to get cell phones again. Lucky Me (I am totally not sure I get one yet 🙂
Don’t you hate losing your phone when the battery is dead? OMG I do this all the time with my stinkin iPhone. I swear these things need to come with a page button like land line phones do.
I recently bought my husband and I blackberries, he was devistated that I would want to replace his beloved “simple” phone. That did not last though, being technologically challenged it took him a while to work it out, but now he can’t do without it.
Have fun with your new phone, RIP old phone.
Wow, what an awesome phone. My guy is like yours. He is the app king. He can figure anything out. Enjoy your new toy…….I mean phone…lol
Congratulations on your new phone!! Maybe your phone disappeared because it was time to get a new one?
Does this mean you’ll be able to blog from your phone? That would be a cool thing to have. Let us know more about it when you figure it out. Thanks.
Sorry about your phone. We recently renewed our verizon contract and purchased the Eris. I too love being able to have the internet at my fingertips.
It was a hard sell as my hubby really wanted it but i didn’t think i’d use it.. Boy was I wrong.
Congrats
You’ll have to let all of us know how you really like it after a while. With all the new phones out there, it’s getting really difficult to find one that is better than the others – individually, of course. I broke down and got an iPhone when there really wasn’t much else out there. Now I’m wondering if I should have waited.
I had thought about buying a droid, but I got a Palm Pre plus!
How exciting… that will be so much fun! Once you understand the apps, you will enjoy playing with them and adding them to your phone.
Can’t wait to hear how you are enjoying it!
