Help Save the Children in Haiti
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine.
All of us are aware of the terrible thing that happened in Haiti. We’ve heard it on the news and on the radio, as well as read it on many blogs. All of us were shocked and sad by the tragic events of Mother Nature and the Earthquake that shook Haiti in January. Throughout the month of February, Cryo-Cell is donating $25 from each enrollment to the “Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund.”
Not only will you be safeguarding the future of your newborns and families, you will be contributing to the rebuilding of the future of the children of Haiti. Currently, Cryo-Cell is the only cord blood bank that is donating a portion of each sale to Save the Children: Haiti Relief Fund.
What is cord blood? Cord blood is also known as umbilical cord blood and remains in the umbilical cord and placenta at the time of birth. This blood is typically discarded right after delivery. However, scientists discovered that this blood was rich in stem cells and it soon became a reliable substitute to bone marrow in thousands of successful transplants. Cells that are taken from your baby are a perfect match for his or her lifetime. Stem cells might be used if your child is infected with a disease, which must be treated with chemotherapy or radiation and might compromise his or her immune system. The preserved stem cells can be used to help improve your child’s immune system as a result of these treatments.
Be sure to check out Cryo-Cell and enroll now.
We set ourselves up for this before both our girls were born. Our midwife had the kits ready and a special courier was present at the hospital to deliver our babies’ precious cord blood. We’ve never felt anything but great about banking. We’d do it again if we ever had more children. 🙂
