My boys love watching Scooby Doo and I don’t blame them because I used to love watching the show when I was a kid as well!  On January 19th, Warner Home Video released an adorable new Scooby Doo movie called “Scooby’s All Star Laff-A-Lympics, Vol. 1” on DVD!  It was just as I expected – funny and full of adventure.  My boys loved it and laughed at many of the scenes.  I’m glad to own this on DVD!  The DVD retails for $14.97.

You’ll love watching the all-time-favorite cartoon characters as they trek across the globe and participate in a series of hilarious athletic events.  The series is an animated spoof of the Olympics and Battle of the Network Stars and features 45 Hanna-Barbera characters, which are organized into 3 teams – The Scooby Doobies, The Yogi Yahooeys, and the Really Rottens.  The 3 teams compete against each other in hopes of receiving the gold, silver, or bronze medal prize.  Believe it or not, the original series first aired on Saturday mornings on ABC from 1977 to 1978.  So, these are definitely classics you’ll want to own!

Featured episodes/sports events on this volume of Scooby’s All Star Laff-A-Lympics include:

The Swiss Alps and Tokyo, Japan – Downhill Ski Contest, Ice Skating, Toboggan Race, Sumo Wrestling, One-Point Tennis and Baseball Batting Contest.

DVD Special Feature: Extra bonus episode “Smart House” from Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! Season 1
