Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday! Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life, I participate in Aloha Friday each Friday!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:

What did you do on New Year’s Eve?

We had steak, baked potatoes, sweet peas, and salad for dinner.  Then we had a yummy frozen Marie Callender’s Pie (Chocolate Cream – so good) for dessert.  We watched the movie, “Enchanted.”  If you have never seen it, I HIGHLY recommend you watch it, if not own it!  We stayed up until midnight and went outside to watch 1 or 2 fireworks and then headed back in to watch an episode of “Wings.”  It was a good New Year’s Eve. 🙂

Stayed in with Hubby and played a bit of World of Warcraft. He got his turtle mount and I got my hunter to level 80 so it was a great night for us.

We went out to eat with my DH’s folks and then settled in at home for a family night. My kiddos are both under 3, so we party quietly and before 8 pm.

  4. Dec. 31 is my daughters birthday so I got to talk with her for a few minutes as she was on the way to a party. I always think back to that 1976 New Years Eve when I was in the hospital. A great way to ring in the New Year.
This year Larry and I had pizza and cranked up the stereo, we found lala online and looked up music we somehow don’t have in our collection. It was fun listening to old tunes and just being together. And of course we had a BIG SMOOCH at midnight.

I was actually out of town in a hotel alone. I was working and had to stay over night in a hotel room. Not fun, but if I was home I would have just stayed home anyway.

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year!
My night was a little pathetic: I spend the whole night Farming in the New Year on Farmville. Lol

  9. I made Bill his favorite meal: steak, potatoes au grauten (?sp), asparagus, and chocolate lava cake for dessert. Then we watched a movie, and the Twilight Zone marathon on SyFy (kind-of a tradition I used to do with my boys when they were little – I was texting them while watching) until 11:45; then we switched over to ABC to watch the ball drop, we had a glass of bubbly from a local winery and a big kiss at midnight – Nano got in on the kiss, he wiggles in between us and has to lick us both. Then I got the coffee ready while Bill walked Nano, and we were in bed by 12:30…. We are such party animals!!
