Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday! Thanks to Kailani at An Island Life, I participate in Aloha Friday each Friday!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question is:

Did you have all of your Christmas shopping done or did you find yourself in the store on Christmas Eve finishing up?

I vowed to not shop the day before Christmas and today I fell short. I found myself at Hallmark, See’s Candies, Kohls, and the movie theater. Trying to find last minute Christmas gifts was a little stressful!

I was at the store, but didn’t really need to be. Just needed something for me. But did pick up an additional couple little things for little man and nephew.

I had most of our Chanukah shopping done before Black Friday. Of course, Thursday night we were out getting some last minute things for the weekend to avoid the post-Christmas rush. I hope you and your family enjoyed your Christmas together.

I was pretty much done the day after Thanksgiving thanks to Amazon.com! 🙂

We went to the grocery store on Christmas Eve – but only for essentials like chocolate donuts, chips, cookies, milk and mozzerrella cheese. Then we stopped at the liquor store for Creme de Cocao for our egg nog…. mmmm. No gift shopping, but we did have to come home a wrap gifts. Then we settled down and watched “It’s a Wonderful Life” – my favorite movie of ALL time (not just the holidays) and a family tradition. 🙂

The biggest chore for me was remembering where I hid everything. 😉

I actually had to order my sister’s boyfriend’s present a few days before Christmas, but that’s okay because we didn’t exchange until tonight(12/26) when it got here in the mail!
