Nestle Holiday Giveaway

I still can’t believe Christmas is only a few days away.  We’ll be busy making cookies and searching for fun stocking stuffers for the kids.  I remember growing up with homemade chocolate chip cookies.  My parents used the yellow bag of chocolate chips (aka Nestle Toll House).  I also use those chocolate chips for my family!

Plus, around the holidays, there are always tons of pictures taken!  Whether it’s decorating the tree, on Christmas Eve, or on Christmas Day, our cameras will be busy at work.  Through January 4th, 2010, Nestle is hosting a Holiday Memories Photo Contest, where you can enter to win a $500 gift card!  Be sure to check out this awesome giveaway.

Plus, because Nestle realizes how much the readers on The Mommy-Files love giveaways, they have offered to supply a prize package to one of you!

1 lucky reader on The Mommy-Files will win a variety of FREE coupons for items including Toll House (chocolate chips and cookie dough), Carnation Evaporated Milk and Breakfast Essentials, Stouffer’s, Juicy Juice and Boost Kids Essentials, as well as products from Wonka and Raisinets!!  Included will also be a 4×6 silver photo frame and the Carnation holiday recipe guide!!!  The prize is valued at over $40!!

  1. I love the healthy recipes for children. I have a nephew who won’t eat veggies and well it is a trick to get it into his food so he won’t know.
I alos like the craft projects because this little guy (he is 3) has some cousins and they all like doing crafts.

  2. I like that they have healthy recipes geared toward kids. Many times, you’ll find healthy recipes, but they don’t take kids into consideration at all and more often than not, my daughter won’t touch it.

  4. I did not know that the company’s roots stretch all the way back to 1867 — to the town of Vevey, Switzerland — where local pharmacist Henri Nestlé saved the life of his neighbor’s child by creating a special mixture of what would later be recognized as the world’s first commercial infant food. That’s amazing. vickers_73460(at)yahoo(dot)com

  6. Wow, I didn’t know Nestle had so many extras on their website. They have an educational section called Discovery Time with different activities for all age groups.

  7. I learned that their site contains a hugely comprehensive section for recipes. I found it very user-friendly, and like the children-oriented aspects of some of the recipes, my kids would be delighted to try some of these.

  8. The best thing I learned on the Nestle web site was the recipe for Merry Cranberry cookies! Can’t wait to try them!

    Thank you. 🙂

  9. Nestle has articles with fun activities for kids – one I thought was really interesting helps you teach your child how to pronounce his or her favorite foods in different languages.

  10. I didn’t realize that Nestle has a craft and activity area. Homemade holiday napkins…I’ll have to keep that tucked away in the back of my head for a project for the kids.
    Thanks for the chance!!

  11. I usually make cookies from scratch but that recipe for Merry Cranberry Cookies looks like a great one for when you are in a pinch but want something that looks a lot more involved than it is.

Their cookie refrigerated cookie dough, some chopped dried cranberries and white choc. chips. Could not be easier.

  12. I liked the idea of taking the kids apple picking (in our case we went citrus picking) and tasting different varieties to see which they liked best.
Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway…. it’s chocolate, and you KNOW I love chocolate!

  13. i never thought to look at their site for kids crafts/activities i actually like their valentine secret pal activity…i may change it a little…but it was a great idea

  14. An interesting thing was the Think Outside the
    Lunch Box with
New meal plans that will satisfy the whole family.

I like Creative Crafts section, they have some fun ones I haven’t seen before like, Valentine Secret Pals, and the Tide Pool viewer.

  20. Nestle had a wonderful holiday project on their website – Fantasy Gingerbread Candy House – that will provide hours of fun for the family during the holidays. Thanks!

There are a lot of fun and interesting recipes. The Eggnog-Spiced French Toast would be perfect for the holidays.

  23. They have a new email offering: “Get an email full of fun and inspiring ideas and valuable offers to help
    celebrate your child’s birthday—starting in 2010!”

  24. I learned It’s never a good idea to put a child on a restrictive diet. She could miss out on the nutrients she needs for normal growth and development. When children begin dieting at an early age, they often end up heavier as adults
