“Make-Ahead Meals For Busy Moms” Cookbook Review & Giveaway

Make ahead meals for busy moms 1

I was excited to review the new cookbook by Jane Doiron called Make-Ahead Meals For Busy Moms.  This is right up my alley.  I love to cook, but sometimes it’s hard, especially when I am a busy mom.  There are great recipes in this cookbook.  Some that sound great include Bruschetta, Stuffed Mushrooms, Pumpkin Bread, Quiche Lorraine, Gingerbread, Mini Cheesecakes, and more!!  The cookbook includes recipes for Appetizers, Breakfast and Brunch, Dessert, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, and Soups.  Plus there is a section that talks about Measurement Equivalents and Weight Conversions.

  1. Well I LOVE cookbooks and I never seem to have enough time or ideas for meals sometimes, wonder why we all fall into the rut of cooking the same meals over and over,so this would help me break my habit of the sameness!

  2. I definitely qualify as a busy mom! I currently have two under 2 and barely a free moment to put dinner together. We make all our meals to save money & I would love some new tips & ideas. I am crossing my fingers!

  3. We take a lot of day trips to go fishing and metal detecting so this book could definitely help me save time making dinner on those days. Thansk for the chance.

  4. I would love to have this cookbook! I’m constantly on the go & by the time I get home (after a 2 hour commute) I’m so hungry I end up eating a hot dog instead of making something nutritious.

  5. I tried leaving a comment on the Make-Ahead Meals Blog but every time I click on comments, nothing happends. I’ll try again later 🙁

  6. Usually when Dinner time rolls around I find other stuff to do, so My daughter ends up getting a sandwich and we end up fending for ourself. I’m always busy (even Staying Home) and Usually slack and am tired by the time 7 rolls around! So I would like this so I can cook dinner ON TIME every night!

  7. I would love this book betwenn taking care om mom with alzheimers and the grandkids i need make ahead meals

  8. I need this!! I am always wondering what meals are good to freeze or things like that. I need to be able to make meals ahead of time like on the weekends so I am all ready for my busy work week.

  9. I would like to win this book because I just got married 3 weeks ago and I am absolutely, hands-down the worst cook in the world… we both have a ton going on now and barely spend any time at home. This would be perfect for my situation (my husband would be thrilled)!

  10. I want to win this cookbook for my busy son and daughter-in-law, who have a three year girl and a five year old girl. Both of them work and have long commutes. Mom owns and operates a pre-school in one city and lives in another city, Daddy has been dropping the five year old off at kindergarten every day; both of them get home late and rush to make dinner for their family. I know how long and busy their days are and I think this cookbook would help them out with their meal planning:)

  11. I would love to win this cookbook – I have a cooking group that we gather and make meals ahead of time for our families. There are 10 ladies in our group. So cooking can take a bit when we make all those meals for our families. We are always looking for new recipes! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  12. My schedule is so busy, a cookbook like this would be the perfect solution. I love the idea of making meals ahead.

  13. I am not very good at making meal decisions last minute…and I really don’t take a lot of time during the week or even the day to think about what to make for dinner: so this would really help me out a lot! Thanks for the chance! bekki1820cb@gmail.com

  14. i would love to win this because i am a busy mom of a 9 yr old and a 5 yr old. they are both in school and on a tight schedule. i would love to be able to have a hot and healthy meal for them. it needs to be quick to cook so that i can prepare it after homework and before ball practice. thanks clallen at ntin dot net

  15. I sometimes work in the evening leaving my husband and boys without a good homecooked meal. It would be great to make several meals ahead of time so they would eat right when I am not there to cook for them.

  16. With my kids as busy as they are, I am always looking for quick and easy meals for during the week. This sounds like it would help!!
    Thanks for the chance!!

I need fast and easy because I work full time, and the last thing I want to do when I get home is cook! Thanks!

  18. With this cookbook not only will I be able to get ahead of the meals but it will also give me more time to spend with my kids

  19. I want to win this cookbook because as the mom of four kids it seems I am always running one or another from place to place and never have time to make real meals.

  20. I want to win!!! I am a single mom who works full time and has the kids full time. I need all the help I can get. I am desperate to freeze some good comfort food for winter months. The table of contents of this book sounds so delicious!!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  21. I would love to win this – it always seems the busiest time of the day is that hour right before dinner – kids need to go here and there – youngest is getting antsy – would love to have the meals made ahead of time!

  22. I would love to win this because it would be great to know that dinner is already “done” before I get home from work and have to figure it out and then take the time to make it. By that time everyone has snacked and filled up!

  23. I would love to win this since I’m always wondering what to make and it would be fabulous to have something ready to go when my son is hungry- instead of making it when he’s hungry!

  24. I would love to win this because I like feeding my family home cooked meals, but some days during the week it seams like I just don’t have enough time to do that! This way I could make them on weekends when I am not working!

  25. I don’t have any recipes like what is in this book. I work and come home to care for my babies and don’t have time to fiddle with meals with a long list of ingredients and that take to much prep time.

I’m a busy mom, and so is my daughter. Between us we go to school full time, work one part time job, one full time job and single parent. Sure would help our household to run smoothly.

  27. I would love to win this because our household is in definite need of coming up with a better system for meals. I am currently recovering from a fall which injured my back, and meals have been left up to chance lately. My husband is not used to having to do the cooking after putting a full day in at work. A book like that would be great for our current situation. We could get a weeks worth of meals made on the weekend.

  28. I love making meals in advance so I can spend time with my husband. And since we’re talking “baby” now, it’ll com ein handy.

  29. With a new baby and a toddler, I’m having a tough time making dinner every night and the recipes in here sound delicious. It’d be a great help.

  30. I’m one of those people who never plans ahead and is looking in the fridge at 5PM wondering what to make for dinner. This could help me plan ahead and even have things I could quickly whip together that and still tasty and healthy. Thanks.

I want this book because I’m a mom and I work fulltime. Sometimes I don’t feel like cooking. My fanily gets frozen dinners that arn’t healthy.
