PF Changs Review & Giveaway

PF Changs logo

I use to love PF Changs before I had kids, but didn’t go too often because they didn’t have a kids menu and I felt like they weren’t very kid-friendly.  Well, I have to admit that I was truly excited to find out that PF Changs has a new kids menu.  We went during the middle of the week (a great time to go with your kids) and had a blast.

We actually ordered ahead of time on the phone so that the food was almost ready when we arrived at the restaurant.  The hostess was super friendly and led us to our table.  The manager was really great and greeted everyone in the restaurant.  He was definitely a super-friendly guy and I could see why he was in a Management Position!

The Kids Menu was short and affordable!  Dishes ranged from $2.95 to $4.95 and included a child size drink in a kid-friendly cup!  We ordered 3 of the 4 dishes for my boys to share.  They LOVED the Kid’s Chicken, which came with Sweet and Sour Sauce.  They also really LOVED  the Kid’s Lo Mein, which is egg noodles stir-fried with chicken.  The Kid’s Chicken Fried Rice was really yummy also.  Plus, if you just want a plate of veggies for the kids, order the Baby Buddha’s Feast, which includes snap peas, carrots, adn broccoli served steamed or stir-fried.

My husband and I ordered Changs for Two.  This is a great deal if you want a well-rounded meal.  We had the all-famous Lettuce Wraps – these are my fave, but you will definitely want a wet wipe or napkin because they get messy!  We also had soup.  My husband ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and I ordered Egg Drop Soup.  We then ordered the Orange Peeled Shrimp (so good!!) and Sweet and Sour Chicken.  We also were served a small dessert!  This is a great deal!

You have to try PF Changs and their kids menu when you get the chance!  I give it 5 out of 5 stars!  They were great!

Thanks to PF Changs, 1 lucky reader on The Mommy-Files will receive a $100 gift card to the restaurant!!!

  1. I’ve never been so I’d like to try everything, but I’d really like to try their sesame chicken! We are about to have one in my area, so this would be great!

  2. I’d like to try their ‘for two’ menu if DH and I get a date night, but if our daughter comes with us, I think she’d enjoy the baby buddha’s feast 😉

  3. I absolutely love their won-ton soup – by far the best I have ever had. As main entree, they have a chicken chow-mein which is more like a lo-mein and is delicious.

  4. Every item on the menu is delicious but the Lettuce Wraps keep me going back time after time. Our family goes to the one in Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, CA. Classy but still affordable.

    Thanks for the contest.

  5. Like you, my husband and I love the Lettuce Wraps. But they also have a chicken dish with broccoli that is so good and seems to be pretty healthy!

  6. I’ve always wanted to try PF Chang’s, but we never have. I’d like to try the Orange Peel Chicken, although the Chang’s for Two menu also looks like fun!

  7. We always start with the Lettuce Wraps – they are yummy. Last time we went we tried the asparagus. I love it..It was a little too spicy for my husband but that just meant I was able to bring some home for later. semtaylor@yahoo.com

  8. Oh, I LOVE PF Changs! I love their lettuce wraps and steamed dumplings for sure – and last time I also got their wine flight which actually ended up being a really good deal – it was only $9 for 3 half glasses of ANY wine on their menu! So, I got to try 3 expensive wines that are normally more than $9 a glass separately. Let me tell you, I was a happy camper – 🙂 – thanks!!

  9. I’ve been a PF Changs fan for years but it was only on my last visit that I tried the flourless chocolate dome cake — yum!

  10. Orange Peel Chicken is one of my favorites, but I love everthing anf we usually order a bunch of appetizers and pass them around

  11. I’d like to try the Hot and Sour soup as I consider myself somewhat of a H/S soup conniseour. 🙂

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  12. Kung Pao Shrimp sounds so good! We have a PF Chnags just down the way from us and I’ve always wanted to try, thank for the chance to go! :))

  13. I absolutely love the Crispy Honey Chicken. I am not a chicken lover and this was such a surprize to me. I love PF Changs, I wish there was one next door to me.

  14. I’ve never been to P.F. Chang’s (which is why I’m entering this contest!), but the Cantonese Scallops sound great on the menu!

  15. I am so excited!! We love PF Chang’s, but only have been once since having kids…we found that they weren’t very kid friendly either!

My absolute favorite menu item is Mu Shu Chicken…SO YUMMY!!!! I love that they stuff the pancakes right there at the table!

  19. Okay, we LOVE PF Changs, and I can’t believe I missed this giveaway the other day. I’ve only eaten there a few times, but I love their egg rolls and orange chicken, and since I love most Chinese food, I’ll probably try their lettuce wraps next time. Yum!

  20. I have yet to have the pleasure of dining at a PF Chang’s but I will soon because they’ve opened a location in my area.

I enjoyed browsing through their menu. I’d love to eat dim sun style there because they have so many good selections. On the top of my list is the Shanghai Shrimp with Garlic Sauce.

  21. Our whole family LOVES PF Changs. We have 2 boys and when we found out we were finally having a baby girl we went there to celebrate. My sons favorite is the Kung Poa Chicken (and mine) and we all love the lettuce wraps of course! Great food!

Everything sounds so delicious…my children love these foods too!
    Thanks 🙂

  26. I’ve only been there once, so I don’t know the names of all the dishes and which were the ones I liked, but I do know all the food was delicious! The lettuce wraps were really good – they were recommended by the friends that took us there.

  27. I haven’t been to PF Chang’s in soooooo long, but I’ll always remember their Chicken Lettuce Wraps! Yum yum!

  28. We, too, haven’t been to P.F. Chang’s since we had kids. Nice to hear they have a kids’ menu. I think we’d try the BABY BUDDHA’S FEAST for our little one. Thanks!

  29. My kids have PKU and eating out is difficult, but we love the children’s Buddha’s Feast because it is all veggies. I even like to steal veggies off their plates!

  30. The mongolian beef is soooooo divine. They also have a key lime martini that I usually have for dessert-yummylicous!

  31. The DOUBLE-PAN FRIED NOODLES w/ CHIX are my favorite, but most everything at PF Chang’s feels my belly good 🙂

  32. following twitter as vultanjm

I would probably go with the beef and broccoli. It’s my favorite dish at chinese restaurants.

  33. My family has never ate here or had ever heard of it and then when looking at locations found out they have some within a hour of our house so would be exciting to try PF Changs.
I love Chinese food so does my family I would love so many items but my first choice would be the SHRIMP WITH LOBSTER SAUCE sounds so yummy.

  38. I love their Mu Shu Pork. Very tasty!! Love hearing that they now have a children’s menu. I haven’t been there in a few years because just didn’t feel they were child friendly.

  39. I’ve never been to PF Changs but hear so many wonderful things about it – especially the lettuce wraps. Everyone seems to love them. Would love to take my family and try it out. Thanks, over from SITS.

    Great giveaway offering!

My family and I love PF Changs!

  41. I love the Sweet and Sour Chicken, but would also like to try the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. We don’t have a PF Chang’s near us, but when we visit my daughter, we always go there with our little granddaughters who truly enjoy the food there.

  42. Leigh Singleton

I love their vegetarian lettuce wraps. My 15-year-old son now loves P.F. Changs too, so we would love to win this prize!

  43. I love the Mongolian Beef and I really like their Mini Desserts – sometimes you want just a little something and if you want more, you can always get a few to try!

  44. LINDA HEFFERNAN

Crispy Honey Chicken is my favorite because it’s not too sweet. Just right. Maybe I like it so much because I was in Hawaii when I had it.
