Today, on Redhead Mom, I’m sharing a partnered post about how to decorate your home this holiday season.

My favorite time of the year is coming upon us quickly. I love the decorations, lights, scents, and overall feeling of the Christmas season. I have fond memories of Christmas when I was a little girl. I remember hearing the holiday music in stores, as well as on the streets. I remember the holiday decorations and lights hung up throughout the town. I remember the excitement of putting up our tree and hanging up our lights (yes, this is before the pre-lit tree days), ornaments, and tinsel (if you know, you know). I remember our favorite Santa jar that my mom used to put out and fill with the red, green, and silver foil covered Hershey Kisses. I remember how happy and kind people were to one another during the holiday season. I remember the excitement of picking out the perfect gifts, wrapping them, and being so excited to give them to our family and friends. All of these are memories I’ve tried to recreate with our own family.
Holiday Lights
I LOVE Christmas decorations and often find it so exciting to put them up around the holidays (usually my husband gives in to us putting it up right after Thanksgiving). I feel somewhat sad to take them down after the New Year’s holiday. We have lights on our Christmas tree and on our house and recently, I learned about something called infinity lights. I hadn’t heard of them before, but they are pretty cool!
Infinity lights are one of the best-selling home decorations that illuminate your home! They are great with their advanced technology and mirror effect in vivid colors. They will impress not only you, but your family and every guest who you invite into your home. They are even available all year long, including both Christmas and Halloween. With the infinity lights, there is a simple placement with a metal base that is removable. It makes creating a holiday display easy and you can even hang them as wall decor!
Christmas Tree and Wreath
Another decoration we love to have in our home is our Christmas tree, as well as a pre-lit holiday wreath we hang on our front door. We used to go to a Christmas tree farm and cut down a fresh tree, however, years ago, we decided it was better and easier to use an artificial tree. Our tree is pre-lit and easy to set up and decorate! On our front door, we have a large holiday wreath that has lights and can turn on according to a timer we set up in advance.
Candles and More
Another favorite decoration to have around our home at the holidays is our candles. Not only do they make our home smell good and like the variety of scents that create holiday memories, but they are pretty as well! You can choose from candles you light or ones you place on a warmer that melt the wax and give off the holiday aromas.
Yard Decor
Over the years, we have worked on collecting a variety of yard decorations for the holidays. We find them at garage sales, thrift stores, and even regular stores (usually at a good price or with a discount). Each year, we try to add one new decoration to our collection, typically replacing those decorations that no longer work or who have had a lot of years of brightening up our home and need to retire.
I can’t wait until the holiday season is here and love the memories we make with it. There are so many different ways you can decorate your home for the holidays. What are your favorite ways to decorate your home during the holiday season?
