Museums: Cincinnati Museum Center

Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is an iconic cultural institution in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is located inside the historic Union Terminal building, a masterpiece of Art Deco architecture completed in 1933. CMC has been welcoming visitors since 1990 and features a variety of exhibits ranging from natural history to science and technology. One of the main attractions at CMC is the Duke Energy Children’s Museum. Kids can climb through a giant two-story structure called The Woods or explore waterworks through levers and pulleys. Another popular exhibit at CMC is the Cincinnati History Museum.

Zoos: Cincinnati Zoo

Cincinnati Zoo was founded in 1875 and has been home to animals worldwide. The zoo is located in Ohio and is among the oldest in the United States. It is one of Cincinnati’s most popular tourist destinations with over two million visitors annually.

The zoo boasts a collection of more than 500 animal species and has several breeding programs focusing on endangered species. One of its notable achievements includes being the first zoo to breed California condors, which were once almost extinct successfully. Visitors can see this zoo’s endangered animals, such as Sumatran rhinos, Malayan tigers, and Western lowland gorillas. In addition to its animal exhibits, Cincinnati Zoo offers various educational programs for children and adults alike.
