Today, on Redhead Mom, I am sharing about Chocolate Dipped Wafers
as part of a partnered post with Voortman Bakery.

Chocolate Dipped Wafers with Voortman Bakery

2020 has been unlike any year I’ve ever experienced. In November, we celebrated World Kindness Day, but honestly, we could use kindness every day!!! I love chocolate and have been wanting to try dipping cookies for sometime, so this was perfect timing! For the past few years, we’ve had the awesome opportunity to enjoy the different varieties of cookies from Voortman Bakery and implement them into creative crafts, recipes, and gift ideas. We love the Voortman Wafers, especially the Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, and now the Chocolate Mint Flavor too! You can create Chocolate Dipped Wafers and share them as an act of kindness, too!

What You Need

  • Voortman wafers (we used Chocolate Mint Wafers)
  • Melting Chocolate (white and dark)
  • Candy melting pan, double boiler or disposable bags (melt candy in microwave)
  • Wax or Parchment Paper

DIRECTIONS

This was a super easy creation! I melted the chocolate in the microwave in the container it came in. Then I dipped each wafer end in the chocolate. I set them on the parchment paper to dry. While they were drying, I drizzled the white chocolate over the wafer. I topped them off with a bit of chocolate drizzle.

Once these yummy creations are dried, you can serve them on a paper plate or in a decorative plastic bag. Attach a note of kindness and give them to family, friends, or neighbors. Enjoy your extras!!

I love Voortman Bakery cookies and wafers and was excited to start snacking on the Chocolate Mint wafers. They are so good!!! From creating new and exciting flavor combinations to constantly reviewing their recipes, their bakers are real cookie connoisseurs! They believe that cookies should taste delicious. I love that Voortman Bakery is committed to giving uncompromising quality, flavor, and simply better cookies to their customers. At Voortman Bakery, they believe the REAL bakes better.

HISTORY OF VOORTMAN BAKERY

I enjoy learning the history behind brands that I love and Voortman Bakery was one of them! Voortman Cookies began in 1951 when two young Dutch brothers, William and Harry Voortman, opened their first bakery in Hamilton, Ontario. It took five years of dedicated baking and hard work before a Canadian grocery chain agreed to give Voortman Cookies shelf space in their stores!

Even though their name has changed, their commitment to using simple, real ingredients has not. At Voortman Bakery, quality and taste has always been and always will be their top priority From their classic Windmill cookies to their new Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, they’re constantly reinventing what delicious tastes like!

  2. It’s been a while since I have eaten this product. Mint flavor is one of my favourite. I guess I would try this out to add some twist too.

  3. These look tasty. I’m a huge wafer fan and having the dipped in chocolate is even better. You are right, a great gift idea. And, it helps that they are made with quality ingredients too.
