When I was in high school and then college, I always did my best to look and feel confident. I never went to the store without makeup on, yet alone in yoga or sweat pants without my hair done. This all changed when I started having babies. Not necessarily because I didn’t want to keep up my appearance, but rather because I was exhausted and didn’t want to spend the time or energy to do these things because I had lots of other things to do. But it was amazing how much better I felt when I did things to feel confident as a mom. Now that my kids are growing up, I still have a tendency to head out to the store in my yoga pants with no makeup and hair in a ponytail. I can tell you right now that when I do the following things, I feel my mom confidence build. Check out these 5 Ways to Build Mom Confidence.

1 – Do your makeup. A great way to start your day and build your mom confidence is to wash your face, apply moisturizer and put on some makeup. I always feel better when I have my makeup on (whether it’s minimal or what I normally wear). My makeup routine includes, eyebrow powder or pencil, foundation primer, foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. I feel more confident and smile a lot more!

2 – Get your hair done. Whether you go to the hair stylist or do your hair yourself, getting your hair done helps increase your mom confidence. I have a hair stylist who colors my hair (touching up the grays) and then at home, I straighten or curl my hair. I feel so much more confident when my hair is done (even when it’s brushed and put in a ponytail).

3 – Do your nails. Whether you go to a nail salon or do your nails yourself, having your nails done definitely boosts your mom confidence. To save money, I’ve started doing my own nails, which includes filing, trimming and painting with my favorite colors. Not only does it boost your mom confidence, but it also looks great in pictures!

4 – Wear cute clothes. I love cute outfits, but with 6 kids, clothes shopping for myself is definitely not something I do on a regular basis. When I do find a good sale and something I need or am getting ready to go to a work conference or event, I like to put on a cute outfit. Plus, the great part of this is that you can make a cute outfit with yoga pants – ha ha! Wearing cute clothes can definitely help to boost my mom confidence.

5 – Smell good. I don’t know about you, but I can count on one hand the number of times I felt like I DIDN’T smell good. And it was NOT a good feeling!!! Every day, I make sure I wear deodorant so I can feel confident and know that I smell good. Plus, it gives me the confidence to put my arms around my friends like the one above when taking pictures at blogging events! When I lift my arm in the air, I want to KNOW I smell good! That’s why I wear deodorant every day! However, if you are experiencing skin irritation or redness from conventional deodorants, you might want to give natural deodorant for men a try.

While wearing deodorant seems like a MUST-DO item on the Mom Confidence list, how many times have you worn it just to find those white marks on your clothes? Ugh that’s the worst! Not to mention the yellow stains that are sometimes left behind from deodorants on your white clothes? Talk about feeling embarrassed about lifting your arms up!

Well, I discovered a deodorant that’s easy to apply and will leave no yellow stains and no white marks! It even helps prevent white marks on black and yellow stains on white! Luckily, Degree’s UltraClear Black+White Dry Spray Deo has got you covered! It is a must-have for boosting my mom confidence and giving me the protection I need for getting all the tasks done that I need to do during the day with our family!
