At the beginning of this year, our family had a lot of wonderful changes happen. First, we moved to a bigger, beautiful house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, on an acre of land. Secondly, we added 2 sweet, loving Great Pyrenees puppies to our family. I’d had dogs when I was younger, but never really HAD dogs. In other words, I was really young when we had the first dog I remember and I was in junior high when we had other dogs, but I primarily remember feeding them, giving them water and scooping their poo. Yep, those were the days. This was the first time I’ve really taken care of a dog and all the things that go with them. This includes feeding them, giving them water, scooping their poo, taking them to the vet, giving them their flea treatment, hiring a dog training professional, and potty training them, among many other things. Check this out if you’re looking for a great dog trainer who can help teach you and your dog commands with the same language with the same definitions. If you’re looking to add another puppy to your family, you may consider getting one of those AKC Bernese Mountain Dog puppies for sale.

When we first got our puppies, they were so small and cuddly. They also peed and pooped a LOT!!! We didn’t have a doggy door yet, so they were relying on us to let them out. It never failed that when I came downstairs in the morning (they were still afraid to go up the stairs at this point), there were a few piles of pee and poop in our front room. Eventually they started doing it down in the game room too. I was cleaning a LOT!! Like multiple times a day! While we are lucky to live on a property with a lot of acreage, they were going to the bathroom more in the house than outside. It took a few weeks, but we did end up potty training them and now they always go outside through their doggy door. That means no more messes – yay!!! The dog training expert we hired was also a big help in making the puppies well-behaved.

While putting in the doggy door helped us with our puppy potty training, not everyone can do that. That’s where the Hartz® Home Protection™ Quilted Plus™ dog pads come into play. These new dog pads from Hartz® Home Protection™ – America’s number one dog pad brand* – are designed with highly absorbent quilt pockets using unique printed dot embossing that traps wetness in the center to prevent spreading and leaking, unlike dog pads with “standard quilting”, which cause wetness to spread.  Each Quilted Plus™ dog pad contains FlashDry® Gel Technology that turns liquid into gel. The Clean Powder scent eliminates odors with odor-harmonizing fragrance technology.

Made in the USA (of American & imported materials), Hartz® Home Protection™ Quilted Plus™ is available in 14 count (SRP: $4.99) and 50 count (SRP: $12.99) packages.

“With leading paper towel, feminine care and baby diaper brands, printed dot embossing technology is the gold standard,” said Susan Burris, Hartz® Senior Brand Manager, Dog Pads & Cat Litter. “Hartz® Home Protection™ Quilted Plus™ dog pads represent the first time that printed dot embossing technology has been introduced into the dog pad sector.”

“Standard quilting dog pads channel liquid away, increasing the diffusion area and potential for messes,” adds Ms. Burris, “while Hartz® Home Protection™ Quilted Plus™ dog pads feature special quilt pockets that trap wetness and odor, creating a smaller spot and less potential for leaks and tracking.”

Hartz® Home Protection™ Quilted Plus™ dog pads feature:

  • ‘DOT-TASTIC’™ DESIGN – Unique appearance, unlike any other dog pads, showcases highly efficacious pattern featuring dots of quilt pockets which help absorb odor and liquid to avoid leaks.
  • FLASHDRY® TECHNOLOGY – Liquid instantly turns to gel with FlashDry® technology, locking in moisture to prevent leaks and odors.
  • WON’T LEAK OR SPREAD – Unique Quilt Pockets trap wetness and odor in the center, unlike standard quilting that allow it to spread.
  • ODOR CONTROL – Harmonizing odor technology neutralizes odors, and features a pleasant clean powder scent.
  • IDEAL FOR PUPPY TRAINING
  • ALSO RECOMMENDED FOR – Elderly or sick dogs, extended indoor stays, or for use while traveling.

Take the Hartz® Quilted Plus No Leak Challenge

Consumers are invited to take the Hartz® Quilted Plus™ No Leak Challenge by comparing their experience with Hartz® Home Protection™ Quilted Plus™ versus the brand they are currently using and sharing that experience on the Hartz® Facebook and Instagram pages. We got a puppy this month. She’s the sweetest, but there are so many habits I had forgotten puppies have. All the chewing, all the pooping. These sound like a great option.

  6. Awwww! Your doggies are SO adorable! My mother-in-law raises pugs and she uses those pads all the time!
