Do you ever feel like you’re making the same meals over and over again and want to try something new? Or perhaps you have a favorite food and would love to try more products from the brand? In our home, we always have Ling Ling Potstickers on hand. In fact, with a family of 8, we buy them two or three bags at a time since it takes one Costco sized bag to feed our family! So when it came along, I jumped on the opportunity to attend a Night Out with Ling Ling Fried Rice in Sherman Oaks, California. Not only did I enjoy good food, but I got to make new friends and hang out with friends I hadn’t seen in quite some time. It was overall a great evening!

The Ling Ling Fried Rice Event was held at BLVD Kitchen in Sherman Oaks, California. It’s a cute kitchen and made a comfortable and food-filled Girl’s Night Out. The evening was full of cooking, eating and laughing with old and new friends. Chef Katie Chin led us in the preparation and cooking of the evening’s recipes. She was so sweet and super fun to hang out with!

The evening started with drinks and mingling among the bloggers. Then we gathered together in the kitchen and learned more about the Ling Ling brand, as well as Chef Katie Chin. We’ve known about the Ling Ling brand with their potstickers, but now they’ve added Fried Rice to their line of foods.

The new Ling Ling Fried Rice line offers five unique dishes inspired by authentic Asian recipes, drawing from culinary traditions of Japan, China, Korea, and Thailand, making it perfect for those craving a taste of genuine thai franchise restaurant cuisine. The new flavors include:

  • Yakitori Chicken
  • Yakinuku Beef
  • Thai-Style Chicken
  • Chinese-Style Vegetable
  • Bibimbap Beef

Ling Ling is different from other brands in that it delivers superior flavor and exceptional taste because of the way they cook. They use the Infusion Cooking Method, which is where each grain of rice is infused with Ling Ling signature sauces for incredible flavor in every bite. With Ling Ling Fried Rice, staying in tastes like going out and you may not even be able to taste the different between Ling Ling Fried Rice and your restaurant favorites.

At the event, we not only prepared Ling Ling Fried Rice, but we also prepared some yummy sides to go with it. The side dishes included Japanese Cucumber Salad, Marinated Soy Bean Sprouts (Kongnamool) and Miso Butter Portabello Mushrooms. I loved all the side dishes, but I my favorites were the Miso Butter Portabello Mushrooms and the Japanese Cucumber Salad!

We were divided up into 3 different groups for the food preparation. In my group, I was paired with February Fox, EV’s Eats and Momma Told Me. They were super fun to work with and I think we laughed a lot while cooking that night. It was great! While preparing the dishes, I also had the chance to hang out and visit with The Funny Mom Blog and Rockin’ Mama. It was a great night and one I won’t forget!

After the Ling Ling Fried Rice and side dishes were prepared, it was time to eat. I think we were all pretty hungry, but we still did what bloggers must do – take pictures before eating…of course! Once we had all our pictures taken, it was time to dig in…and man, was it some good food! I’m looking forward to making some of the dishes for my family, alongside of Ling Ling Fried Rice and Ling Ling Potstickers.

At the end of the night, we had a chance to say personal goodbyes to Chef Katie Chin. We were given swag bags, as well as a signed copy of Chef Katie Chin’s Cookbook. I’m excited to try out some more of her recipes! Plus, I’ll be sharing the recipes we prepared that night with you in future blog posts on Redhead Mom.

  14. Looks like you had a great experience! I haven’t tried Ling Ling fried rice before. Will keep an eye out for it at the grocery store. We have to make Asian cuisine at home ourselves because there is just too much contamination at those type of restaurants for us to be comfortable with our kids peanut food allergies.

  15. This is so much fun you got to prep and cook these delicious recipes! I don’t cook Asian food enough as I don’t really know how to do it well. This class would be great to attend – thank you for sharing your experience!

  17. This looks like such a fun event! I wish that we had brands like ling ling here in Sweden! It is not as easy to find ready make meals like that here. I will definitely be sharing the coupon with my mom who lives in the US though, and maybe make her send me some! haha

Hey Shannon, This looks so fun (also so yum!) This style of cooking always beats me, although I think even I could manage it with a whole team of my girls behind me!

We’ve actually done an article here at MyPostcard on traveling with the girls which you or your readers might find interesting! All about how to plan it right! Girls Vacation Tips

We love reading your new posts (and your old ones too, clearly), and I can’t wait to read your next one!
