5 Tips for Enjoying a Healthier Life
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of American Heart Association. All opinions are 100% mine.
As a mother, I want only the very best for our children. My goals as a mom are to make sure they eat, have clothes, have a warm home to live in, get a good education, and of course, are well loved. But how often do I think of me as mom in the picture when it comes to giving them everything they need. As a mother, I not only need to take care of my family, but also myself so that I can take care of them! The American Heart Association reminded me that, Life Is Why.
It’s really not that often that I think about living a healthier, longer life. Much of my life is in the moment – as it’s very, very busy with 6 children! However, when I really think about it, I don’t want to miss out on any precious moments with any of them. Those precious moments are what make life worth living.
The American Heart Association (AHA) and American Stroke Association (ASA) want people to experience more of life’s precious moments. But to do that, we must be healthy in heart and mind. American Heart Association believes that the heart is where life’s moments are felt most, and the mind is where we relive them again and again. We want those moments to be the motivation for living a healthier life. LIFE being the reason you make healthier choices everyday, so you can be healthy in heart and mind.
As moms, it’s important for us to realize that we have the power affect real change. We are at the center of the family, at the heart of change, affecting decisions that keep our families healthy and happy. Not only ourselves and our kids, but also our aging parents.
5 Tips For Enjoying a Healthier Life

5 – Check and control blood pressure
American Heart Association has resources for healthy living, such as recipes, healthy tips and tricks for moms, and information and resources on heart and brain health. They’re working to improve the health of communities by affecting laws through their advocacy initiatives. As an organization they’re funding life-saving research and science advances to help people live healthier, longer lives.
I’d like to encourage all of us moms to make changes that will keep us healthy so we can take care of our families and enjoy those precious moments to come. Let’s encourage other moms to join the movement as well and make healthy living a priority for themselves and their families! Because the more moms that make healthy living a priority, the bigger our impact can be. Because moms united can make real change. If you are a working mom, your company’s direct primary care provider can also help you maintain your good health.
Be sure to check out the Moms Unite Facebook Group – a great place for fellow moms to join so they can encourage one another and share tips for leading a healthy life. Get Healthy Recipes and Mom Hacks on Pinterest.
Everyone has a reason to live a healthier, longer life.
My “why” is my family. What is your ‘why’?
