Celebrating a Birthday at Boomers Review
Growing up, birthdays were always super special. Whether it was having a birthday party at home or having a party at Skate Depot, my parents always went out of their way to make it a fun and memorable time. My husband and I are no different with our 6 kids. We’ve celebrated birthdays at home, while camping, at the bowling alley, at Universal Studios, at Magic Mountain and at Hurricane Harbor, but most recently, we discovered Boomers! in Santa Maria, California – a 10 minute drive from where we live. Boomers! is not only fun for the kids, but fun for the adults as well! Here is our review on having a birthday party at your local Boomers.
Booking a birthday party at Boomers! was quick and easy (you can call up or book online), however, I did find that weekends filled up fast (even a month in advance), so my advice would be to book your birthday party as soon as possible. There are 4 different Birthday Party packages to choose from at Boomers! and we went with the Ultimate Birthday Package.
The Ultimate Birthday Package was the second best package they offered at Boomers! It was $249.99 for the Ultimate Birthday Package and we booked it, we put a $50 non-refundable deposit down. The party included up to 10 participants (these are the party guests who get the perks of the package). We also added on additional pizzas for the party so the adults could eat as well.
The Ultimate Birthday Package included the following:
- Personalized Sign
- Paper Products
- Invitations (print-at-home or online)
- 1 hour Table Time with the Party Host
- 2 slices of pizza and drinks for the 10 included guests
- Unlimited 4 hours of attractions (including bumper boats, rock wall, go-karts, and miniature golf)
- Card with set dollar amount to use on video games
- Wheel spin for the birthday boy (including a variety of prizes)
When planning your birthday party, it is important to note that you may bring in a birthday cake, but no other outside food or drinks will be permitted. They also do not have alcohol on the premises. You should plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of your party and encourage your guests to arrive 10 minutes prior to the party.
When you arrive, you will check in with the party host (the cashiers can find him or her for you). From there, she will show you the party room and you can set up any additional party decorations or supplies you have for the birthday party. We brought our own birthday themed plates and napkins, but they provided cups or white paper plates if you want.
Once the party time starts, the Boomers! staff will bring in the pizzas and drinks and your hour of time will start for the party room. Be sure to keep the kids in the room to take advantage of food, drinks and cake. Once the room time is over, they encourage you to let the kids go and enjoy the rest of the package (i.e. rock wall, bumper boats, go-karts, video games, etc).
The kids loved exploring Boomers! Believe it or not, 4 hours was plenty of time for them to enjoy the Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, Miniature Golf and Rock Wall, as play video games! I love that this was all wrapped into one package for a reasonable price and that I didn’t have to clean up afterwards! Woo hoo! It was a fun party and one we would definitely do again!
